Why recognising self sabotage is key to changing behaviour

  • Recognising self-sabotage as a behaviour trait within you is an important step towards tackling your self-sabotage and the affect it has on your life.
    For me, the most difficult think was to acknowledge that I am ultimately self-sabotaging.
    I've not only had to acknowledge this but also begin to move beyond the pain of that realisation.
    And that is still an sticky issue. It still hurts.
    I've had help to begin to understand that it mostly stems from my childhood (as so many things do).
    My upbringing was a challenge. A poor, dysfunctional and broken family.
    I will continue to explore this as I work towards addressing my self-sabotage behaviours.
    I don't yet know how it will play out, but I know that I need to stop getting in my own way and leaving a trail of heartbreak behind me.
