How to Practice Self Compassion When You're Not Feeling Well - Self-Sabotage Guy
This past week has been a tough one for me, both physically and mentally. I don’t usually get sick, but when I do, it really knocks me off my feet-and this time was no different.
For the first time in years, I had to literally go back to bed because I was too unwell to function. Feeling drained, exhausted, and battling what could be a variation of COVID, I also faced the emotional toll that comes with being unproductive.
For someone like me, who prides themselves on getting things done, this was incredibly hard to accept.
In this video, I open up about my personal experience of juggling illness, mental exhaustion, and the emotional rollercoaster that came with it.
From visa challenges in Fiji to feeling helplessly unproductive, this week tested my limits.
But here's the key message: it’s okay to not be okay. It's okay to not always be productive-especially when your body and mind are struggling.
If you’ve ever felt guilty for not doing enough when you're sick or mentally drained, you're not alone.
In this video, I talk about the importance of self-compassion and giving yourself permission to just be when you're not at your best. It’s something I had to learn the hard way, and I hope my story can help you feel a little less alone in your own struggles.
So, grab a cup of tea, sit back, and let’s talk about why being kind to yourself when you’re unwell-both physically and mentally-is more important than you might think. Trust me, you’ll want to hear this.
