My favorite artist....I can listen to her all day. I was having lunch and a radio personality she said, you know you look like Vesta Williams. She said you don't know who that is do you? In my 20's at the time , I didn't . I looked Vesta up and I have been hooked ever since. I didn't know at the time the radio lady was giving me a compliment because Vesta is gorgeous! RIP my love.

It really bothers me now to see and hear performances like this by Vesta Williams (RIP), especially now that she has passed away. I saw the Unsung episode she did and it made me feel very sad to hear her put herself down about her weight when they asked her about the video treatments/concepts on some of her hits, like Do Ya. Do Ya and that video are some of my all-time favorites by any Artist, and I remember when I first saw it how it made me feel sexier as a Full-Figured Woman and/Artist. And to be honest, I am not sure anybody even cared if she appeared naked because Her Voice was E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G. I hope and pray that she found peace with herself before she passed away but if not, she is surely in a better place now:)

The only difference I see between these two great women is: Vesta is gone and Chaka is still here. When Chaka transition from this life, these two great women will be forever remembered and loved by the music world and their fans.
Just here for my Vesta fix....she goes well with red wine ...This performance was live and this is how I know she rarely opened a show because no one would want to go on after her....if she was still here in the physical I know she would have a podcast/ TH-cam channel with a plethora of advice for us ladies... and I would be a subscriber.
