As someone who does Redstone, most of the machines were given way less credit then they deserved and in my opinion the tank should've won in terms of looks and complexity

but it isn't all about complexity, it's also about reusability and enjoyment. Sure the tank is fun for a few minutes, but you can play COMPUTERIZED HANGMAN with redstone, that's crazy.
The tank should've won, it requires so many moving parts, and yeah the hangman needs some computing, but the wither chamber required pinpoint accuracy due to arrow physics

I think the Wither railgun blast chamber doesn't involve much impressive redstone, but instead some extraordinary game mechanics.
While the tank is awesome, especially the moving rail part, but overall its heavily using flying machines. Which is pretty much a common sircuit.
On the other hand, the Hangman machines is basically a computer. its heavily using computer logic sircuits like counter, memmories, and other stuff like that, which is redstone origin. So its safe and fair to say that anyone who made any form of computer in this competition will be the winner.

They didn’t give him a “low score” (24/30 what are you talking about) because of hangman, it’s because it’s just a moving machine and tnt cannons. While impressive to build in a day and very detailed, it’s a bunch of very simple concepts.

Yes, it’s just basically a WAY less complex variant of the computers out there. Even I did make a computer some time ago.
Well „computer“ as it really just was a cool looking seven segment clock, but even with that little knowledge I can 100% confirm that the tower and the tank take way more time and effort for a good redstoner than hangman

i think you dont really understand how f insane that hangman machine is my friend :-D iv'e studied computerscience and working as a developer, hardcoding that many variables into ROM-blocks in that small amount of space is crazy. he basically build an advanced calculator

I have no idea how Hangman of all things won. You had an invention that farmed lighting, basalt, and wither stars using nothing but TNT and one singular arrow. You had a tank that shot nuke lmao. Hangman winning is the equivalent of a baking soda volcano winning.
It was not though. It has programmable word that you could put in and an actual depiction of the stickman. The tnt basalt thing was more of knowing how the game works than redstoning (still impressive). The tank was a giant flying machine with TNT dupers with a cool design. Flappy bird was also good but i heard somewhere it bugged twice (not sure if its true or not). Still all of this is impressive but it doesnt mean Hangman should get hate because it didnt look or sound as cool
@@Jakc. It shouldn't get hate, but we can break it down to just being a combination lock with a fancy design, just as the tank was a TNT duper + flying machine w/ a fancy design. I just think at the end of the day, while hangman was cool, the other shit got scored very unfairly. No hate to any creator nor sip, but in general? Hangman was maybe top 5- and even that's not fair cause half of the machines were skipped.

Honestly impressed that the tank had a moving Trek but in the end it doesn't innovate minecraft I don't understand how most of the games work but the wither blast chamber is seriously impressive you'd need a stockpile of wither skulls and soulsand to use but it turns a boss into a tool. I've seen withers be used in obsidian farms, tree farms. So they have been used as tools in the past but it's still very impressive

Minecraft seems like a simple block game on the outside, but these types of redstone geniuses open up Minecraft to an infinite amount of possibilities when it comes to builds.
The tank deserved a 30/30. It was so cool and probably the hardest to build.

What a fun competition. Thanks for the invite. The amount of work put into everybody's builds was totally insane, especially considering the competition took place during 24 hours. So much left clicking, so little sleep and yet it felt great. Also being next to Pingu was quite intimidating :-D

@@PROFY_ The ghost slime block shuffling machine ( 2:40 ). Also there was a funny paternoster elevator using the same engine next to it. Too bad it didn't make the cut, but I understand the time constrains. I would definitely recommend checking out the map, once it comes out. There is a lot of stuff that can be further explored.
And btw the thumbnail bomber is a build of mine as well. It was built when Myren Eario discovered TNT duping and I was trying to help him with it. Basically a show case of a new technology. Fun days. I think Sipover wanted to avoid spoilers and so he chose the bomber as a recognizable redstone contraption.

tank should've won. Should get better judges that understand more of the complexity going on in these builds combined with the looks.
i think in the future, there should be a poll for the viewers to vote, so there's a more diverse understanding of what's actually the more impressive build, so that the winner is rightfully selected, and not just based on an impulsive, random metric dictated by in the moment emotions. Big up all the people that put their hearts into their builds, the scores given don't define your capabilities.

that's still not a perfect solution because of popularity bias. i'm sure alot more people would vote craftymasterman because he's more well known. but it would still be alot better than the getting judges who know very little about redstone compared to the contestants

You should look at every build first before rating. Don’t rate them individualy. This way you can compare them with other ones.
the tank was much more technical then the hangman tbh I feel as if engineers and programmers should've been judges since it seems ya'll didn't understand any of these
For me I think the tank won, I think you should put judges that are knowledgeable about redstone so it would have been a fair competition, they did they're best after all so I think it's good to say they needed a fair judging of their builds.
I mean there are many good contenders. The tank, hangman, flappy bird, tic tac toe and rail gun are all impressive

@@ZannyGamer yeah, the system of rating them one at a time can be flawed, since if something impressive comes at the start, it might get a lower rating than something impressive that came after 2 other impressive things.
Imma put it this way to you: If you give me 24 hours, i can replicate around 80% of the tank as I know most of how it works.
With the same amount of time, I cannot even start to program the hanged man one.

I think it is a shame such a low quality channel gets to feature such amazing Redstone creators. The presentation quality of this video clearly shows a lack of appreciation for their craft and skipping over creations was just vile.
I wish this video was not made in an era of short "in your face" videos. Builds were great, but it really needs a longer time of testing to appreciate them working.
You can't make such videos when you still want little kids with short attention spans to watch them. This guy edits and acts like he got adhd lmao

@@sirog7116 nahh it is never meant to be practical. Mentioned in cubicmetre's video, blocks exploded by the wither are much more than ones exploded by tnt. But each exploded block have a 12.5% chance of dropping. So, you earn 77 (I think) blocks per wither and about 0.2 blocks per tnt. He even said that this is the least effecient you can make a blast chamber.

next time let's have an actual Redstone expert judge a competition like this instead of 3 randos and one with money. Watch each person who made the actual builds as they show an appropriate amount of love and understanding regarding Redstone.
I love how they gave hangman a higher score than a literal giant rocket launching working tank.

@@Der-Roni Wither farm looked cool but it wasnt as complex as some other things. Its more about understanding game mechanics. Its also just multiple not incredibly special things combined. Like the blast chamber is pretty standard, aligning tnt is pretty standard in every single cannon build, aligning arrows is more complex but the creator has made multiple before and they all follow the same basic outline. AKA its a bunch of not so special on their own parts combined. Tic tac toe though is insane.
It’s almost like a computer is more complex than a flying machine.
@@terrestrialcreature7481they all built from their wheel house. Tic tac toe was more complex than the hangman, but that doesn’t mean they were the most complex build there, regardless if the creator made similar things prior or not.

It's impressive how red stoners only keep on improving, I remember when I was a starter I was watching Mumbo Jumbo's Redstone doors video, eventually, when I started loving the game I was constantly looking at videos to learn more about the game, Redstone and commands were my favorites, though Redstone was never my strongest part.

Redstone electronics is not a piece of cake bro! Could you even make a bcd encoder with full adder circuit? As an electronics guy I feel that Flappy bird and Hangman was the best because of the high logistics used.
@@SarthakAryan it's not just tech the wither one had to have exact calculations to get it working to insta kill a wither witch in a block game getting the right velocity is damn near impossible unless you're an expert you can learn the basics of the hangman machine or how to make working computers in minecraft in general on youtube witch makes the wither contraption almost unbelievable

This is why you need to do a rerate, or better yet, rate it after you’ve seen all of them. Otherwise you get the surprise as the first few to be reviewed, and as such the judges don’t know what to expect. Especially since the ones before the hangman had the lowest scores of the others, since the judges are in new waters and have to adjust. They see 2 of the contestants being decent, and they use it to assess how impressed they should be, and how much each machine should be rated. And then they see the third one, which is in the higher bracket of red stone machines. They’re blown away because of their newly developed expectations and rate it much higher. Then, they go on and on, and their expectations changes as they subconsciously realize that the hangman is not extraordinary, relative to the other in the high brackets. And yet they won because they were the first one. I’ve seen it again and again

I think Sipover and everyone else was really underestimating builds at the beginning, and the first time they got an actual good build, they gave it a really high score. From there after seeing so many high-scores, they just started to grade harder. I feel like videos like these should have some team nitpicking off all the weak red stone builds with the really strong ones where the judges can actually judge fairly since all of them are good builds. If the tank came before the hangman or if the wither farm came before the hangman, I’m sure they would have gotten just as much of a high score that the hang man got if not higher.
Forget the tank, the ones I really feel bad for are the ones that didn’t even get shown in the video

I agree, they were giving really low scores to the builders which was kinda upsetting. Like imagine putting your whole life into your build and then they rate it a 4 or 6. These people deserved better scores- and the hang man was kind of impressive but i don’t know about you but I would get bored of it after a couple rounds- not saying the build was lazy and that every other build would be exciting and people would spend hours playing with it, I just think the wither or the tank or maybe even the hidden staircase could’ve won. Plus if we are talking about using these in survival, the wither would’ve been very useful and the hidden staircase-

I dunno, I feel as if it would be more fair if the judges were actually experienced in redstone and knew what they were looking at.
although hangman was impressive, I'd say I'm surprised that it won, out of everything. If I were to be the judge, I'd say the tank and the wither thing would be the best ones.

the tank is a glorified flying machine, mumbo built one a while ago. but the wither railgun requires SO much accuracy due to the way that arrows behave, the video didnt do it justice. in complexity, hang man probably comes third after tic tac toe and flappy bird, then the wither railgun, but the tank really only has looks to it. the judges arent qualified to make accurate judgements on the builds because they dont know enough about redstone to do so. its like a 10 year old judging rocket designs, they just dont have a base level of knowledge to fully know what theyre looking at.

Functionality/Usefulness in survival - Wither Blast Chamber
Mechanics - Bomber Tank
Overall, I'd give the blast chamber the 30/30. It's a unique design, fulfills a practical purpose, and is extremely complex to make.

In terms of redstone usage, to build Hangman in Minecraft requires more redstone usage than a Wither farm. The rest I don't know.
