  • @11Bguitarist
    @11Bguitarist 3 ปีที่แล้ว +93

    So I have to say. I enjoyed the mission, even though it was a bit longer than I expected to be. However, I had some issues.
    Alley Cat had a bit of an issue coordinating flights initially. We had a push order for a reason and before we were even done aligning, other jets were on the catapults that weren't even supposed to be there yet. (Also there was no stored heading alignment for the tomcats so it took 8 min to align but it could just be an A-model thing, idk)
    Our flight lead wasn't using their radios at all and we basically just left without them after getting permission because that person was just flying in random directions.
    After getting permission to go direct to the tanker, we get vectored west because we are about to go to Iranian airspace. Well whose fault is that, you cleared us direct.
    War Party arrived entirely too late to drop their jsows. Didn't matter overall because all the bandits had been taken care of, but slightly frustrating.
    Red Crown committed us to a bandit and then committed another flight to the bandit as well, resulting in two AIM-120s being shot over us by 100 feet then maneuvering down to the target.
    The 14A is a PITA. That is all.
    Overall, I enjoyed it, and would do it again. Some things to work out but it was fun. Looking forward to the next one!

Using pure dead reckoning to fly for what seemed like hours hoping to find the enemy carrier fleet, the excitement and thrill of actually finding the fleet and attempting to put a bomb on target, and then navigating back to your own carrier hoping you had just enough fuel to get home. So this was a absolute ClusterF**k almost all of us tomcats went for a drink, actually I think all of us went for a drink. I got ejected after takeoff (thank you jester), then my DCS crashed my second try, so I just hoped in a backseat and we got no fuel so we had to bail, all in all I thought it was cool op just wish it went a little more to plane rather than sh*t with the friendly fire and the tanker accident.

Keep using tutorials and practice to master the airplane, going in forums and discord servers about dcs coul help you even more, finding someone who can teach you some stuff and who's free to fly with beginners.

    you know you can use the mids radio in the hornet, right? it has much better quality and range because it's digital. To use it assign radio 3 and 4 hotkeys in srs. To set it up press D/L, then VOCA/VOCB, hit a number for the channel and then enter. Don't press CLR or it will turn off the radio. If you want to get rid of the ICP display go to another option, like AP and hit CLR twice there to turn off the displays.
    MIDS radio is very good for intraflight because it's basically a free radio, keeping the standard ones free for common/gci, or even interflight (on VOCB) if it's lots of hornets.

    • @WW2Fr3k
      @WW2Fr3k 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@halationmedia So there are two parts of it. There is a webcam looking sensor that gets placed on the top of your monitor, and a contraption that gets clipped on your headphones or a hat. When you look left in real life, you look left in game. When you move your head forward in real life, so does the game and so on. But the movement in game is amplified so you only need to move your head a little in order to get big movements in-game so that you can still comfortably see your screen. It can be refined in software to your liking. Hope this helps!
