When I was younger I loved walking thru old junkyards, wooded areas, farms etc looking at old cars and equipment. I grew up rebuilding 20s-40s cars with my Dad so I learned to appreciate old iron when most others just saw it as junk. Its really nice that you have respect for the old relics, people forget that at one time, these cars and trucks were the pride and joy of the people who originally purchased them, they all have a history and a story to them. A few can always have a chance to live on, but all are really time capsules of a much different and past generations. Nice video, keep up the good work.
JessicaTG2008 Thanks for watching the video, I know the quality is horrible. I'm new at this TH-cam thing and I'll get better after awhile hopefully. When I was younger my summers were filled with exploring and I still do it today. I was the odd kid out, fun to me was reading about history and finding cool stuff in the woods. I tend to drive people up the wall because I get so excited telling them about what I have found and they get super annoyed and don't care lol. TH-cam has sort of opened a world where I can share with others who enjoy the same things. These comments make my day. Thanks for sharing your childhood memory and thanks for watching.
The first import that you called a Vauxhall is actually a Volkswagen 1600 Fastback, they're pretty rare here in Canada. The unknown car with the maple leaf is a Mercury Frontenac, they were basically the same as the Ford Falcon, except they had a special grille and some different trim. They are actually extremely rare! The cream coloured car is a late 50s Ford Fairlane, and the import sitting across from it is a Renault Dauphin. Great video!
It is so sad to see all of these old cars just decaying away. Someone used to ride in them all of the time. How sad, but they are old and there was probably no one that wanted to take care of them anymore. They sure had a lot of old cars though.
The blue car with the traktorwheels in it is a Volkswagen 1600 TL and the car with the maple leaf is a 1960 Ford Frontenac at 20:30 this is a Renault Dauphine
***** I appreciate the information! I have now been able to do research and have concluded it is a very rare car with only 800, 2 doors produced only in Canada. Time for a salvage mission!
I am an old Brit living in New Zealand, enjoying your videos very much. Any fresh ones on the way? Don't know much about Amercan cars, except the old Hudson Terraplane I had in my teens. keep em coming.
+Anthony Williams I do a mix of exploring and metal detecting and have uploaded 6 videos this month so I'm just waiting for the viewers to catch up on those be for I put up more new videos. I try to shoot for 4 videos a month or one a week and have gone over that this month.
1987 mercury Still there as far as I know. I haven't spoken with the land owner since the fall though. I'll check it out again this spring because I regularly cross his property on my ATV (with permission of course) He's asked me in the past to keep an eye out for anything gone missing. If you're interested in seeing something up close on video let me know, I'll gladly make a new video just for you.
Biscayne is 1964, "Vauxhall" is VW 1600 TL (1965-1973), blue/white is 1960 Ford Frontenac (Falcon model for Canada), white one at 16:50 is 1959 Ford Galaxie, 19:00 is very cute Renault Dauphine (R1090 stands for regular model) 1956-1967, VW cut on half is probably 1962, 23:20 Vauxhall Victor "FB" series (1960-1964) this particular model in video is 1963 or 1964
Really enjoy your vids. first car is a 63 impala (Biscayne model) . the cabs are from a 60-66 Chevy truck hey there's a 72 GMC bed at 5:38 ! the extremely rough truck at 9:45 is a 73 ford the mangled one at 12:23 is a 1960 Ford 16:48 looks like a 59 Chrysler imperial the truck on its side at 22:26 is a 51 Chevy 23:13 looks like a 62 falcon
Fullthrottle440 Thanks for all the information man, I like when you guys and gals post this information, I can go online and read up about the cars and trucks and learn a bit more then befor. Thanks for watching!
Rob Brown Its not always about the cool factor though. Some people just want their first cars back or a car that reminds them of family and things like that. I learned to drive in a 2002 chevy cavalier and if I could keep it for the next 30 years I would lol so many memories.
i notice alot of the abandoned cars in your videos have single cylinder master cylinder aka suicide cylinder. that became illegal i think around 1968 ish?. crazy to think 1 hyrdaulic leak and ...straight to the floor with brake pedal .all that steel and weight WOW free rolling missiles , unless your quick enough to hit the parking brake. do u ever run into poison ivy on your explorations ?
There is poison ivy all over the place but it doesn't seem to bother me at all. I've never had any major reactions to it and I've been smack down in the middle of it at times, guess I'm just one of the lucky ones. We also have hog weed here but I wouldn't go near that stuff with a 20 foot pole lol
I used to have family in Canada, my uncle went to stay with them for a couple of weeks on their ranch, he said they had acres of land full of old 1920s/ 30s fords and barns full of model t fords, it all got left to their foster child when they died and i think he scrapped it all and sold the ranch...
James Davies The owner of the farm where these cars are also has a barn full of stuff. I got a full tour when I was a kid. My parents use to rent a house from the owner and my dad would take me and my brother down to see the cows and what not and one day the owner offered to show us inside the barn. He also has a model t up top of the barn it hasn't been touched in years. there are also a bunch of older motor cycles and snowmobiles and an endless amount of Victorian era antiques and farm equipment.
BigBubbaBailey Thanks for the information! And thanks for not leaving a rude comment. Alot of people seem to think I should know every exact little detail even though these cars were made 40 years be for I was born lol.
spamanator666 1992 actually so to be fair at about around 2004 would have been when I started to take notice of these old cars. I can tell you more about modern cars then I can about clunkers from the 70's
I'm not comfortable being on camera which I know is probably a down side to the whole TH-cam thing but luckily you guys are here to see the cars, buildings, machinery, bottle digs etc so it doesn't effect the content to much. I might work up the courage eventually though.
Stan Jefferson What do you expect out of a 50 dollar camera, cinema quality? Any how I have purchased a new camcorder that works a lot better and has built in stabilization, I'm just waiting for the snow to melt so I can go back out. Thanks for watching.
Its been a very bad winter here. Everything is at a stand still. Some cities have declared state of emergency and they say we have gotten more snow in this one winter then the last 19 years combined and now all this stuff is about to melt causing mass flooding. Welcome to Canada, eh?
At this point I would choose Ford. GM screwed us over when they cut thousands of jobs here in Canada and I swore to never buy another GM product in my life. Ford is expanding their Canadian plants so I will support them all the way.

The smaller saloon (sedan) near the end is, I believe, an FB model Vauxhall Victor.
The pickup truck shown from 8:30 to 11:43 is a 1975 Ford F150 Super Cab pickup truck
+the440plymouth love this could you please keep updates on the race track and the old farms. thanks
Hey the440plymouth,
are these cars still out there or have they cleaned out this property?
1987 mercury Still there as far as I know. I haven't spoken with the land owner since the fall though. Not highly priced but quite rare as it was one of the first car Renault sold in Canada and the USA and people don't trust so much new brands

Good point, I could be wrong but I cant see too much interest in 90s cars being restored...maybe certain models
Rob Brown Its not always about the cool factor though. Some people just want their first cars back or a car that reminds them of family and things like that. I learned to drive in a 2002 chevy cavalier and if I could keep it for the next 30 years I would lol so many memories.
That Volkswagen needs saving, worth a fair bit restored, Vauxhall is a different car manufacturer, great vids btw
That orange and white truck looks to be a 60s chevy

The first one is a 64. Had a couple of them.
BigBubbaBailey Thanks for the information! And thanks for not leaving a rude comment. Alot of people seem to think I should know every exact little detail even though these cars were made 40 years be for I was born lol.
The440plymouth So you were born in 2004? I admit, you seem pretty knowlegable for a ten year old then! :)
spamanator666 1992 actually so to be fair at about around 2004 would have been when I started to take notice of these old cars. I can tell you more about modern cars then I can about clunkers from the 70's
yes it is mate
The two truck cabs are mid 60's Chevy
I beleave the blue car with maple leaf is a 62 ford falcon.
Its a Frontenac and was only produced in Canada. It was based on the Falcon though.

Yeah, the first one is a 1964 Biscayne.
idd like to see the man making these vids . be nice to know who we are watching ?
I'm not comfortable being on camera which I know is probably a down side to the whole TH-cam thing but luckily you guys are here to see the cars, buildings, machinery, bottle digs etc so it doesn't effect the content to much. I might work up the courage eventually though.
Why doesn't the owner part it out ?

daryle aron It is a Frontenac. Thanks for watching.
The red cab that's in the bed is a 60-63 Chevy
Chuck Norris Thanks for the information and thanks for watching!
Blue car looks a little like a Ford fairlane I think
The blue one is a 1953 Chrysler I think
fico muito triste em ver a história abandonada ao tempo!
How wonderful it would be if someone would figure out that rapidly swinging the camera left/right/up/down makes the video almost unwatchable.
Stan Jefferson What do you expect out of a 50 dollar camera, cinema quality? Any how I have purchased a new camcorder that works a lot better and has built in stabilization, I'm just waiting for the snow to melt so I can go back out. Thanks for watching.
First, what's snow? I live in Phoenix AZ. Second, you're welcome!
Its been a very bad winter here. Everything is at a stand still. Some cities have declared state of emergency and they say we have gotten more snow in this one winter then the last 19 years combined and now all this stuff is about to melt causing mass flooding. Welcome to Canada, eh?
There was Ford, Vauxhall, Chevrolet and Renault.
That bag is so rare on that blue car
Its very brittle though. I'm not sure if there is a product that you could use to soften up the plastic again.
The440plymouth yea I kinda just looked over the fact that it was brittle

It's 1964
64 impala
Biscayne*
So, does the owner know you put this on the internet? The same guy that asked you to keep an eye open for stuff missing? I don't think you're doing him any favors. But, just my opinion.
57fitter Yes, he does know. I always ask first. Thanks for watching!
Right on!
