Tis a shame that it’s just rusting away...Tis REALLY worth saving! 🤩 Some might want to try to get it running, and it might fire right up, but I think it should be pulled out so all that hard work could be done on solid floor. @@kylekenan2321 Well 1, the truck had already been sold 3 years ago. The new owner had never picked it up. 2, George has now passed away. Though I didn't acquire this truck particularly I did acquire a 40 year old wood splitter from him. I knew the gentlemen for years. He often worked on my snowmobiles and also did plumbing repairs in my house. The yard has since been cleaned out and Georges wife moved to Alberta to be with her daughter.
it is a postwar truck because of chrome on grill. from 1945-6 up to 1949 then body change. thi shape was from 1941 until 1949 only. the cab is not made by international it was made by company called Chicago cab mfg and they made cabs for many many brands. who knew

Oh, people flip them to get the parts off usually. Sometimes they get bulldozed over by logging crews when they clear a wood block. Thanks for watching.

It was sold a few years ago but the buyer never picked it up, no idea why. I would buy it in a heart beat... I was prepared to offer $1000 cash until he told me it was sold. It was most likely a logging truck be for it became a dump truck so you can be sure it was worked hard.
Oh, that's a shame. You should see if you can find the buyer, if that's at all possible. A real shame to see a cool old truck sitting out rusting in the woods.
Plans have changed now sadly. I'm looking into buying a dodge ram for my business so I can haul parts and pieces from my picks. But I bet that old International will be sitting there forever so I might be able to get it eventually.

Most of the cars I find are usually to far gone to be restored due to years of harsh winters. I do salvage parts though and sell some to folks who are building cars.
I just picked up a 41 k6. All original except the flatbed is a little newer! Can't wait to get it going

They make these things called chains and chainsaws if you want to get it out.
They also make these places called prison for people who steal
