*UPDATE* Big thanks to my current supporters that helped with this. I'm currently not taking any more donations, we've enough for several more runs for now. Should this change I will keep you updated. I've run 5 car loads to various towns. I took video of the areas affected. It's rough up there but let me tell you these people are TOUGH. I'm just the shopper and delivery guy, it's you all donating that's making the difference so THANK YOU! Receipts and goods posted on betterbachelor.locals.com. 100% of ANY funds I received this week are going to them, no need to earmark them as donations.

They’re Appalachian country folk. These people have always done for themselves. Immigrants from Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Finland, England, Wales, hundreds of years ago. The families stayed put. They’re my people, and I thank you for helping. 🌿❤🌿
Lol, they're the biggest welfare recipients in the country.

Born and raised in the Appalachian mountains in east Tennessee. Proud to be a hillbilly that can support me and my family without a hand out!

Hill people have always done for themselves. They don't get many choices.
What other "choice" does one need? People SHOULD take responsibility for themselves. I suppose I don't comprehend the point of your comment..
@@JavaZombie Humanity wouldn't have progressed to the point it has without society, also known as mutual support. Yes, take responsibility for yourself, but at the end of the day unless you're manufacturing all of your tools and hunting gear and farming equipment, you're relying on other people. Its about striking the proper balance.
@@JavaZombie The other choice could be do like the guy that made this video and help each other, don't be an isolated recluse and accept help from others, just as you help others. Too many people get this idea that taking responsibility for themselves means hating everyone else and isolating themselves. And that's a bad idea. That's a North Korean idea..
The insurance company is not going to help you or give you credit for not being the squeaky wheel
these people are not poor... they are rich with family and friends. and true knowledge and hard working people that know how to survive....

The coment meant that they might not be monetarily rich but they are rich in family, friends, etc and hardworking.

I live in E TN. We definitely are not waiting on the gov to step in. We are taking care of this together - as a community. The husband & I have been running supplies as well & doing whatever else we can to help.
Bro, this is a fucking real G here. Thanks for being there when society needs you.
We pray for all of you who are affected by the hurricane God bless you all🙏🙏 and stay safe! greetings from portugal
@BetterBachelor I'm in Marshall North Carolina and our town is absolutely devastated. The government is nowhere to be found. We are doing the same thing digging out on our own with private tractors, private equipment, and little information. We are really on our own and many friends have list homes and businesses. Screw the government we will do it ourselves. And we are. Good for you Joker
We've been praying for you guys there in Marshall. We (used to before this) drive over every month from Erwin, TN to Silver Mill Feed & Supply to buy our feed. It was a part of our routine to go into Marshall and shop at My Sisters Attic and ReClaim Madison, maybe grab something from Madison Natural Foods store, eat a burger at Zadie's, and browse the cool finds at the hardware store. We've always loved your little town... Stay Strong!
I agree with you in many aspects but you nor I are going to be building bridges and paving roads rebuilding the electrical and water systems anytime soon. Damage so wide spread it's going to take time.
I left Black Mountain/ Swannanoa area ten days ago. Saw the damage in Marshall. God bless you and yours. 🇺🇲🇺🇸🇺🇸 Stand strong! I want to come home but I have no home to return to. We The People will rebuild!
Good. That's how it should be. Everyone should be their own first responder first.
Bless you, David.
This video actually made me tear up! You are GOOD PEOPLE, Joker, and the folks in TN are blessed to call you their neigbor!! We should all be so lucky!
It's one of the reasons why I love living in Northeast Tennessee. The people are the best. Here in Carter County, we had a location designated for people to pick up supplies. More people showed up to volunteer to help than showed up needing food and water.
I give $5 a month to Joker; I was thinking last month when things were tight maybe I should cancel; Now I'll NEVER cancel! Thank you Joker!
Youre a real one, Joker. Mad respect to you for getting up and actually helping your community. Very inspiring.
Its called being humble. Brother helping brother, sister helping sister. One big family of god.

I'm in Greene county, TN and I KNOW what my people are capable of because we've ALWAYS been self sufficient!! The gubment came to Appalachia decades ago to "help". What are the 9 scariest words ever?? "We're from the government and we're here to help"!!! No thanks we'll take care of our own. God be with ALL these people in their time of need!! Dear God! The internet has ruined us...
I’m impressed, Joker. You’re walking the talk. It’s genuinely inspiring and it’s making me think of things I can do to get out of my damn funk.
Amen.
Helping someone else can help. It helps me to try to red pill any guys who don't understand the game we've been trapped in since birth.
I feel like America was better when everyone had stuff to work on like this. When there's nothing left to do, everyone starts complaining, gets greedy and the fighting begins.
I live in SE TN. We were supposed to have hella bad wind and rain, but it only rained. About 8” in several days. I can’t believe how bad these other mountain towns have been hit, it’s craziness.
Joker, you deserve credit not only for your kindness and generosity but also for shedding light on the people who are working so hard to put their communities back together. When the crap hits the fan it's not about politics or ideologies, it's about pitching in and helping you neighbors. The Constitution starts out with 'We the people' not we the politicians, CEO's, or billionaires.
Amen. Democrats and Republicans when something like this happens.
@thedragonsfoot4565 - Unfortunately the lefties are cheering about this. I’ve seen tiktok videos being played on TH-cam where they are cheering that all the “racists who live in sundown towns” were hit by the flood.
Good work my man! I'm a store manager for Ingles. Which is a major grocery store chain for the NC,SC,TN,and Ga region. Our one and only warehouse that supplied 204 stores located near Asheville NC was severely damaged and cut off from the communities that it supplies. This region will take years to recover. I don't think people realize the level of disaster this hurricane left in its wake. It's on the scale of Katrina, if not worse.
It’s worse

I live in Powell tn and we were in ingles yesterday and it's getting empty. Low on goods and almost no water.
No, even locals don't realize. They are raising hell on YT that Ingles won't open their stores or warehouse. It's a real problem

I love how America sends aid to foreign countries. Not once have these countries returned the favor when things like this happen to us, and our government is nothing more than pieces of shit for doing nothing
I try to tell people that the government is 100% corrupt & politicians only care about money, power & fame. *DO NOT* vote Republican or Democrat. We need to get rid of both parties. But nobody will listen to sanity. They must vote for their team like it's a big game. They treat the election like they're betting on the Super Bowl. Totally brainwashed by TV "PROGRAMMING".
It’s aid for influence, they have no interest in influencing America.
You are wrong!! Folks all around the world sent money to the USA after the S F earthquake in 1906, the Johnston floods of 1889 & 1937, not to mention after Katrina!! In fact, the Irish sent post Katrina aid to the several Native American nations, in return for the Natives' aid for the Irish Famine of the 1840s!! See what a little knowledge of wider US history can tell you??
But since the Hurricane was known for several days beforehand, why didn't they stock up on food, water & other supplies a bit?? I notice that many of the homesteading bloggers on You Tube, though their properties were affected, have food, water, emergency lanterns, etc to carry on ...
actually some nations have offered us aid in the past, I know Israel did (hurricane Katrina IIRC) and some others have. the trouble is that our govt wants to control (ahem, SKIM) supplies and donations.
We had a flooding in Germany a couple of years ago. I recall that it was raining like crazy for several days without a break, and suddenly all the water from the surrounding hills flooded our little village in the valley. When I woke up in the middle of the night, I heard a strange rushing sound from outside. The main street had turned into a river. We got lucky, but my cousin lost everything he inherited from his dad. Including a custom-made Corvette Callaway. (Custom leather seats and wooden interior)
Oh wow. Corvette Callaway - So nice.
That's something you don't wish on your enemies. Ouch!
This tough to watch... I lost everything in floods in 2010 in QLD Australia... it is not just the smell and stuff you just can't clean or keep... but it is a few weeks later when it hits you... esp. if you are displaced from your home, or pets are missing... the govt. and insurers don't seem to care... Economically, it set me back and have still not recovered. I am thinking of all those caught up in this... Great work Joker, we need to look after each other, because good people always do... If you see a politician with his boots covered in mud, sleeves rolled up and no-one taking his picture, vote for that guy...
Now you know how it feels to be homeless or etc.
These people know how to do things. They are a community. There is nothing wrong with admitting that a man has 4 to 10 times the muscle strength of a woman and acting accordingly. We women can get things done, but too slowly in a crisis. The men step in and lend their strength. We keep them going. No problem, it works. So glad you were able to go in and help.
Yeah, those boxes of diapers are way too much for any woman to handle, probably would have taken a lady a week to unload.
❤❤
Amen Sister!
Yall women can’t get shit done. Enough of that bullsht.
The ONLY help is coming from regular American folks, NOT the govt! I survived Hurricane Katrina and I’ll Never Forget that it took the govt over a week to get water to those in need 👀……..the sole reason there were fewer fatalities than anticipated was due to the regular folks helping one another.
The govts response to Katrina was a crime against this naiton.
The failure was so epic it was noted in “Live free or Die Hard” “It took FEMA 5 days to get water to the SuperDome.” 2007 only 3 years after Katrina 2004
Of course the Fed isn’t in a rush to send help, these areas voted for the other guy!
It kills me how everybody wants small government, and nobody wants a handout. Then they sit here and piss and moan that somebody didn't bail them out. Some people just want to complain. Shut up help yourself don't accept any handouts from any government, You finally get the experience how you want it.
Glad to meet another survivor! Hope that you are spreading what we learned!
Good deal Joker, thanks. My sister is in Asheville NC. My son is a lineman, he is up there with a bunch of crews trying to get the power up.
My friend, thank you for your efforts. I worked at that rafting company during the 90s and still have fond memories. I've moved out of state, otherwise I'd be there right with you. Thank you again for helping my friends.
