I built mine luv it ..gave it some 15mm wheel extensions and pen springed the shocks its quite the performer
When I built my gatekeeper kit I really wanted to paint up and fit a 12.8in proline raptor body for it. I think the potential is clear with a wider stance and lightweight body. It climbs like a champ even with the cage. So with a lightweight body who knows. It tips because the anti roll bar unloads at certain angles and causes the rear end to straighten up aggressively rather than flex. Definitely got potential. Do your own version of the Ecto with a raptor body or even a half cab and leave the nice looking rear chassis open? PLEASE haha!
You concerned face and reaction tells a different story when you were trying to modulate slowly on your table and it doesn't move just makes noise😕 , that there is too funny😄😄😄.

Hi, i am new with crawler. Saw that TRX4 weakness on their portal input gear. Wondering how this Ecto gear? do they using similar gear?
It's not top heavy they put over drive in the front bad move makes it fall over. Works better with out over drive . Driving mine now. Over drive does not work in anything
What brushless setup did you use?
What did you use to widen it? That's always been the thing preventing me from getting this was the narrow axles.
Vanquish Hex hub set that offset my wheels a bit.
Ecto body looks nice, eagerly awaiting its arrival and your thoughts regarding it!

Great video!!! I like the ecto I don’t care what the wanna be pros think! I wanna get an ecto & set it up like your gatekeeper, put a big brushless set up in it & build as a rock racer kinda rig but make it crawl as well!!!🤩👍🏼
There you go!! We just ran our gatekeeper without the body/cage and it was quite capable.
I got lowering brackets for the shocks and SLW 725 hubs to widen the stance. It Crawls with the best of them now
Is there and wheel hex extensions that got this? I tried a few on Amazon with no luck yet.
What hubs did you use????

Im guessing the builder's kit comes with softer springs. Mine is from a kit and stands way lower than that, stock.

Great video! Quick question off topic. I recently bought a TRX4 on your recomendation. Should i be replacing the ESC and reciever? Already replaced a lot of parts. (Should have bought a kit instead) I am hearing stories of runaway TRX4's due to 3s lipo operation. ( i have set my ESC to lipo settings etc. )
Receiver is fine, hobbywing quick fusion 1800kv transformed mine!

IFS is good for scale but not good for performance. The Element RC one is low and big and catches most rocks.
I put a creep body on mine . Took the cage off after 3 or 4 runs . I like it a lot better without the cage .
How does it look with the creep body? I'm thinking about doing the same thing with my gatekeeper but wasn't sure how the body would look on a 12.8 wheelbase
@@HamAround23 looks good alot of trimming on the body but it's worth it .
