Dude. I said it on Twitter, but thank you so much for this series. You just did it again. I spent hours trying to adjust and layer effects to get a super speed that works as a white out dissolve to the next scene. Freaking Grid Spacing used along side size. I wanted to make the stars larger, never thought to look there. There's so much to AE that even some of the basic Effects & Presets are mysteries to many. It shows how knowing not just how something works, but why it works the way it does, can solve so many things. I know you're taking the time off from this, you deserve it. Just know that you've been doing the community a service that can never be overstated. You sir are a rock star among rock stars! edit: added clarification to effect settings that worked.
I'm following a tutorial and step one is to make a white solid. Then add cc Star Burst. When that is done in the tutorial the stars are white and the BG becomes black. When I do it the BG remains white and the "stars" are a light grey. Any idea what I'm doing wrong. Thanks. You're the best.
@@JakeInMotion wow thanks for the quick response. You guessed it. I actually chatted with Adobe support and they said the same thing. My composition BG was white. Worked fine after I changed it. Thanks again. I love your tutorials on all the effects. I don't understand everything yet but working on it.
The best tutorials EVER . Brief, complete and absolutely clear. Bravo!

In your composition settings, is the background color set to black?
