I’ve had my car just over a year. I just took mine off and glad I did. I could see there being damage to the car after long-term use. Thanks for the video.
No prob man this was an awesome vid by the way. I think I am going to take them off once I get the windows and lights tinted to give it a true black on black look
Finally, someone who isn’t all anal and angry about seeing splitter guards on the road. Most the people complaining on TH-cam don’t even own a challenger.
Yeah, I think it's stupid to get all mad about that. What somebody else does with their own car is their business and not like it affects anyone either. Someone doing something to their car I don't like in another town or state has absolutely zero effect on my car and my life, why waste time worrying about it?
Wow thank you! I been reading about these & heard they can damage your car over time. I just got the 2023 scat pack challenger a few days ago so I’ll definitely be taking them off!
Yeah, it was bad. this was one of my earlier videos before I had more lighting options and was still figuring out this youtube thing. I've gotten better with it though.
That's something I haven't heard happening before. They're just plastic held on by cheap plastic clips. Even if it's been on there a long time it should still practically fall off once the clips are removed. Did you buy it used with them on there? Maybe someone permanently glued them on?
@@Scavenger1320 I bought it used at 4700 miles. Perhaps the previous owner did something? My next thought was asking the dealer to take them off for me on my next oil change
In my case I told my dealer to do the bare minimum pdi absolutely required and nothing else, so when I took delivery it still had all the protective plastics everywhere on the inside and everything. Plus I wanted to make this vid and see how much I could sell them for on ebay and I ended up making 40 bucks on them. That said a lot of dealers said they get enough requests from customers to leave them on that they just always leave them on and let the customer decide what they want to do.
Ive had my Challenger for 3 years now, and kept them on...Its charcoal and kind of looks cool. I am removing them tomorrow because Im trading in the car, and I have a hunch that down the road, there will be people wanting OEM shipping protectors....I have way too many parts... And Im trading in my car, for a Charger 392 Wide Body. Would have preffered a Challenger, or Hellcat, but this is it. They stopped orders, and whatever you can find, is what you get.
People definitely want those protectors. I sold mine on ebay. I'd definitely like to hear about what your splitter looks like behind the protectors after you take them off and if it's scratched up.
@@blumoneyjohnson5795 I did a vid on that! I think I got $40 after fees and shipping. Not sure how much you'd be able to get for them now. th-cam.com/video/4N5TMkvoyYA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=V232muIbPtERSiRV
My challenger is a 14 and I can’t quite find any of these for mine because they’re all 15+ online. Yalls know if 15s could fit or if there are some for a 14
Wish I could help but I honestly don't know. I don't think Dodge started putting anything like these until 15. Looks like the 14 splitters are pretty similar. I'd say if you know anyone that has any try and use one to test fit it. Or you could buy a set off ebay and worst case if they don't fit just re-sell them, or return them if the seller allows it.
one of mine fell off and i was so mad, so i ordered some today from amazon and going to replace them. "why you replacing them?!!!!!" BECAUSE I LIKE THEM! DAMN IT😂they set my GT apart from sxt so yeah edit/update: crashed it, its gone😂😂😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
I don't think they do, but honestly I don't really know for sure. Looking them up online really quick it doesn't look like any of them come with this type of splitter.
I have red accents on my yellow challenger and I think it looks cool to have the red ones on the bumper. To each their own, but I prefer to keep mine on…
I'm not sure how they name the different push pins, but you can easily find them at any auto parts store. I'd just take the guards with you and find one that works. No drilling is required. They use an existing hole that's in the bottom of the splitter.
If it has the same splitter it will. I just looked up new 2020s and 2021s online and looks like they come with the same splitter and these same protectors.
I've seen some people that paint them. Hydro dipped carbon fiber would look good, but there's still the issue of dust and dirt getting underneath it and scratching up your splitter.

I'll try to get some footage like that this weekend, maybe get a vid like that up next week.
Yes and no. Sold them and then the buyer canceled so I had to relist them. Weird thing was the buyer was a seller that has a BUNCH of these listed too, all priced higher.
😂its true. they made them pink so now youll most definitely HAVE to take them off😂. but you can buy some lips that are different colors to compliment your car i acrually saw a widebody scat with the pink guards on still
That’s why they make them that color so you would be like that shit don’t look right and take it off. Now they make them pink to be sure you take them off. Why would anyone keep them on🤦♂️
