Love this song! I grew up in SW Florida minutes from the Everglades. I went to school with a Seminole friend who married my oldest and dearest friend. I went to a private concert on the reservation that John gave and it was awesome!!
@@DjPjrocReacts911 I know he has been in the past. He was actually very sensitive towards the Creeks or the Seminoles about the song and the video. He sought permission and some of the tribes people were used in the official video.
Seminole Wind is one of John Anderson's finest songs lyrically and musically as he sings about mankind's destruction of the environment for profit and the draining of the Everglades. As a Floridian, he also references the native Seminole people and their chief Osceola. Brilliant song and great reaction!
One cannot express how profoundly intrinsic this song is to native floridians….the depth of connection and sorrow we share when seminole wind is on the ear. Thank you John Anderson for writing this song and thank you mr hip hop dj for recognizing the power within.
I like it, John Anderson's voice. He sounds so good. Humming the bell with me brothers. How a song no in our country? Music for OLD man for old man. I ain't no country music throw me bellamy brothers and john anderson
Wonderful reaction. I have been a huge John Anderson fan since he started performing. When this Album and song came out even before hearing - just by the title I knew this was gonna be a Favorite and it was an instant favorite from the very first second of the song.
I’ve met the man several times. He has a stellar reputation among the locals. Some other great ones from him: “Your Lying Blue Eyes”, “I Just Came Home To Count The Memories”, “1959”, and “She Just Started Liking Cheatin’ Songs”.

Everybody talks about the fiddle and the piano which are great but hardly anyone mentions the subtle banjo picking throughout. All in all a musical and lyrical gem.
My absolute favorite John Anderson song. It did not good, "...in the name of progress...", but he said it anyway! Thank you John Anderson for putting this out in the universe.
Having been here since you started. I really like your reactions. When you started I kept waiting for you to go "yuck" but you haven't. Thanks for being here.
Wow, have never heard of this guy before, not sure which way I have been looking, but obviously not the right one. So glad to be introduced now! Thank you! Amazing song!
You've got yourself a new subscription. This song means so much to Florida natives, and hunters such as myself. Especially since I grew up in the Everglades, and have been witness of what will be the eventual death of the Everglades due to the development and disturbing of native land. Our native tribes knew how to treat this land, and we took it from them and now have destroyed it. That's why we ALL of hear the ghost of Osceola cry when we are in the swamps of the Everglades hunting the non native species that are simultaneously killing the ecosystem as well as the progress.
He has such a great voice, and this song is magnify. If you ever get back to John Anderson again, you might like Long Black Veil. That one will give you the chills.
@@DjPjrocReacts911 I love the original!! Anderson sings a version on his own and one with Merle Haggard. I thinkI need to start a list of songs you’ve covered, though. Evidently, I’m not keeping up!
Absolutely love, love John Anderson, thank you for a great song ❤️❤️❤️ Another great song sang around the same time this song come out is ((STRAIGHT TEQUILA NIGHT)).. Use to be one of my all-time favorites 💛💛💛
As a small boy growing up in central Florida to just above the everglades I grew hearing the tales of the Seminole warriors. The only native tribe the US never conquered.

A little info about John, he helped put the roof on the grand ole opry house when he first came to Nashville working as a carpenter to support his self. He told them one day he would play on that stage and he did!
One of my favorite songs of any genre. I went through my country "phase" during the 80s and early 90s. Nowadays, I listen to more classic rock and even a bit of metal, but there's still a soft spot in my heart for country music like this.
Your reaction is appreciated. More than you will ever know. Great music needs an audience to appreciate it and you have shared your reaction with many who would never have had the chance to discover this song. Love the way you listen. To the Lyrics, to the music, to the history of our country. Keep doing what you do so well.
Nice selection on this one young man has always been one of my favorite what a story. It's a hell of a thing to take everything away from a man and he's ever known or ever will know in the name of progress
Thank you for such a genuine reaction to this amazing slice of country music. Pure, sweet, simple and unforgettable. What a unique idea to share with folks.

This song always makes teary eyed. The melody is so haunting & the lyrics so provoking.

As a 71 y.o. 5th generation Floridian I can tell you this song tells so many tales. Our home has been lost to greed. It angers me.
