I do love this video. Elvis will never fade away. He is like a drug..and once you are addicted...you cant let go. I became a fan when I was 6...now I am 69...and I still love the guy . He made my life so much better just being Elvis.

On a interview Elvis ccx said from the time he was 2 years old his favorite scripture from the Bible was "What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul." Elvis knew he couldn't take it with him. He just wanted to help people and make them happy.

Dearest Twano, I am a 69 year-old white woman who has been an Elvis fan forever. I have over the years studied him as you are now. He intrigues, beguiles and humbles me for knowing that when he his bad, he is very, very bad, haha, but when he is good, he is an angel. I believe that Mr. Elvis Presley would be honored to find that you see yourself in him. Both after all, tall, slender, handsome and gifted. Thank you so much for further exposing this rare human being to the good people of our planet! As the great man once said “May God bless you as he has me!”❤️

I'm a white woman in my mid 60s and can remember it being a special occasion to stay up past my bedtime to watch Elvis on TV, and I'd watch his movies. My mom saw him in person when she was a teenager, back when there was so much debate and pushback about whether it was proper or vulgar for him to perform in front of people with him dancing and moving his legs and hips.
What myself and many others got from him was joy and inspiration not only for his talent, but his love of "all" people and desire to spread love and goodness.
I still remember receiving the news he'd died when I was in my late teens, and the loss I felt.
After watching several of your reactions I've got a very good feeling about you, and find nothing wrong with you seeing a likeness. It has nothing to do with the color of our skin, where we're from etc. I believe he would feel honored. Thank you for being such a great example as a fellow human being.
There were some other entertainers who tragically died too young that you might want to react to after your Elvis Journey. John Lennon, Jim Croce anf John Denver.
Keep being you and you'll be just fine.

Fun fact: in 1936 a tornado leveled Tupelo. 237 lives were lost and the city was destroyed. One of the very few structures left standing was a two room shack. Elvis was an infant inside at the time. Watching from Tupelo Mississippi ❤

A great reactionTwano. I don't mind the pauses, I like hearing your views. Elvis grew up among the black community from a very young age. He always had black friends and attended both white and black churches. Gospel music was his first love.

Good to have you back, Twano and thanks for your reaction.
Elvis was born on January 8, 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi, in a 2 room shack of a house his dad built with money he borrowed from his boss. That's how dirt poor they were. He was one half of identical twins; the other boy - Jesse Garon - was stillborn. They were so poor, that Jesse Garon was buried in a shoebox in an unmarked grave. At Graceland they have a plaque with his name on it in his memory.
Elvis always got along with the black community and learned a lot about music from his friends of color. Also, according to the one drop rule, Elvis would not be considered white, since he has Cherokee ancestors on both the Smith (his mother) and the Presley (his father) sides of the family. His paternal grandfather, Jesse Dunning Presley, was not happy that his two sons, Elvis' father Vernon and his brother Vester, married two sisters, Gladys and Clettes who were known to have Cherokee blood in their family tree. J.D. Presley was quite the racist a-hole, often drunk and a philandering husband to Minnie Mae (they were actually separated long before they finally divorced in 1954) who was always competing with his sons Vester and Vernon and who was known to abuse his kids when drunk. J.D. was publicly against race mixing and was in denial about the Cherokee blood in his own family tree. It was more publicly known that the Smith family had Native blood in their family tree, so when both his sons fell for 2 Smith sisters and Vernon, on top of that, was still a minor at 17 when he eloped with Gladys who was 4 years older than him, Jesse was totally pissed off.
As a child, Elvis already had many friends in the black community at the time his family was one of 4 "white" families that lived in the predominantly black neighborhood The Hill, just across from Shake Rag. His childhood friend Sam Bell said that some of the (black) kids in that neighborhood had lighter skin than Elvis (th-cam.com/video/LrFCyNMvZWk/w-d-xo.html). One of Elvis' bodyguards once said that he thought it was a miracle Elvis got into Humes High School in Memphis, because it was "lily white". Elvis wanted to be more open about his Native ancestry, but his manager "colonel" Tom Parker (real name Andreas van Kuijk) was against it because he was afraid it might cost Elvis fans (and himself money). They did have Elvis play characters in his movies though where he had Native American blood (Flaming Star, G.I. Blues, Stay Away Joe). Once Elvis had his own (apprentice) job learning to be an electrician, he saved up his money and bought his clothes in the same style that many of his friends of color wore. He was called a (forgive me, just stating facts here) "n-lover" and got beaten up several times too. Later, when he was an established star, he would not perform at places where the members of color of his back-up band/orchestra weren't allowed.

While ELVIS was out, fans ran after HIM,as usual, ripping HIS cloth apart, someone who was was with HIM, said *****ELVIS, they are tearing your cloth, run and hide****ELVIS replied:****So what, they put these cloth on my back,*** (meaning the fans) HE didn t run ..There are so many stories of kindness regarding this Beautiful SOUL, you would need to make at least 2 other videos..ELVIS never mentioned all the good things HE did for charity, only now we are starting to find out. and yet, we still don t know everything ...ELVIS was not only beautiful outside, HE was also beautiful inside...GOD bless HIS soul and *****LONG LIVE THE KING***.

Looking good Twano, just like the early Twano, I been there since you started. Glad you are back in the real. He was one of a kind, he had such poor beginnings and actually didn't have an indoor bathroom most of his childhood. He was so grateful for his success. he not only pulled his parents out of poverty but most of his relatives. When he bought Graceland, he brought in his aunts and uncles , cousins, his body guards and gave them homes on the 14 acre estate. He paid for their cars, medical care, their weddings their funerals, and lent them money on a regular basis. When he died in 1977, his payroll for all his band and relatives was over 100 people. In fact at his sickest, his aunt said you need to rest for awhile, he said, "to many people depend on me". He was a hard worker, he was a good man. Not perfect but nobody is. Thanks Twano, you rock.

I didn't want the first part of my comment to be negative, but kid, it was very rude of you to start dodging behind the screen & mumbling his song I have a dream, favourite song or not man, you have a video playing, by people who knew Elvis, you say you're like him but kid, you have to have the respect for people that Elvis had because he would never have done that.
There's only been a bit to watch as you're breaking it down, so there's not much to comment on at the moment (even though.all Elvis fans have already seen it)
You mention requests as other reactors do. You also say to go to PayPal & pay for a certain song to be played and reacted on and that is fair enough. There's one problem .. if I am paying you to play a song to react to, I would expect a reaction at the end, all the pausing would do my head in. I screamed at the TV watching this bit tonight to STFU.
I know you're young, I know you're trying to make some money, but you have to do it right.
Do you think a young Elvis would have got where he had by not doing things right? By talking and interrupting his record producer, he was humble, he was quiet and he became a success.
I hope you take the above as advice and observation and not negative criticism.
I will watch the next part of this you do but please keep learning to stop pausing and talking.
Keep working at it, success doesn't happen overnight.
There are a lot of reactors on youtube who have earned a lot of money .. watch how they do it, learn from them.
I have 2 sons your age, they love music and they love Elvis, they don't interrupt, they listen or watch.
You have learned to stop being giddy and continually pausing, but still pausing too much.
Take it on board as encouragement.

I've seen him 1ce or 2ce before & had to stop. Right now I watched about 4 min. & won't go any further but wanted to see some comments. My gut feeling is this is his personality & he just outright likes to talk no matter what, but apparently people don't mind so he won't change. I'm sure what you said won't cause him to reflect & change but glad you said it. I unsubscribed & no thumb up -- there's just too many others out there to enjoy watching.

If you shaved your mustache and darkened your eyebrows, you would look more like Elvis.
    Elvis had blue eyes, however.

He looks nothing like Elvis. He looks like himself.

Sam Phillips wanted Elvis to sing "white" music of the time. didn't happen. Elvis had soul.. and Elvis didn't create the music but because he was white it was allowed to become mainstream.. Elvis opened the door for Black music to come into the forefront.
