Wonderful video! I walked to Garmisch once, long ago, from Wiley Kaserne in Neu Ulm, summer of '85 I guess it was. About 200 American soldiers and 200 Germans left Wiley around mid morning on a Monday, and got there before lunch on Friday. A few of us hiked off to see Schloss Linderhof, and got picked up by some Japanese tourists who gave us a lift to the palace. Wonderful area down that way. Thanks for the video!
I am planning to go to Zugspitze and didn't realize the town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen is so beautiful. Would you mind sharing your route in the video and how I may know how to get on the trail to the gorge after I got off the train.....thank you
So just to be sure, From munich you went to Mittenwald by train, and then took a train again from mittenwald to Gaarmisch and then took another train to Eibsee lake and from Eibsee you took cable car up to Zugspitse?
We think the route changes over time. If you check the connections for this month, DB app suggests a single train (RB6) to GaPa from Munich while it's a 3 connection journey in August.
@@livewiredineurope9951 - thanks for your kind reply. I found out there is a construction-related disconnection of the direct railway and alternative bus-transport offered.

Thanks to share your trip experience. it's very informative for me to prepare for my first trip to Ebisee. :)
Great to know that you found it helpful. Best wishes for your trip❤
Very nice! Could you share the trains lines that you took from Munich to Garmisch? Did you have to change station?
Thanks a lot. There are direct trains from Munich Hbf to Ga-Pa. You can take regional train lines RB 6 or RB 61. Hope this is helpful!

Yes. But we did not take the cable car to Zugspitse as it was already late. Hopefully we will cover it next time.☺️
Looking forward to my holiday there in September.
We hope that you have a great vacation at Garmisch❤
@@livewiredineurope9951 Thank you
Great Job!
Thanks a lot!
Which month did you go and how was the weather? As I am planning to go from early to mid June but am concerned it will be rainy weather.. 😅
We went there in the mid of May. It does rain during summer in Garmisch. Fortunately, we were not in much trouble 😁
Fantastic video! You did all this in one day?
Yes, thanks a lot!
Wait a second. Was the train from Munich only 1 change? I am gonna go to GaPa from MUC this August and timetable says... 3 changes (!!!)

😍
Which month was this? is April suitable time to visit?
We went there in May. Spring is the best time to visit Garmisch due to favourable weather. Have a great trip!
Loose the noise
Thank you for your suggestion. We will be more careful next time😊
@@livewiredineurope9951the music is not in keeping with the nature of the video. It was jarring and made it difficult to watch.
