Watching for the first time , haven't seen this software before . When you created Slot #2 you selected an input card but labeled it an output card. it originally pops up as an IB16F , Then somehow changes to OB16F all by itself. Does the software identify and correct these types of things for you ?

hi, am pretty good with rslogix 500, but in 500 they changed the way you assign the bits. is there a video explaining that? used to be you clocked the bit and it said its card designation but i cant find the new way of doing it.

It's good for a quick start on programming a logix processor.

I think there is some editing here, right after he says that he has a 3rd module in his demo his slot 2 card, jumps from an input to an output, IB16F to OB16F. I don't know that RSLogix is smart enough to figure that out just by naming something an output.

Todd: Please explain how you added comments to your programs. I cannot find a way to do that. Thanks.....

If you right click the left side of the rung you will see the option 'Edit Rung Comment'.

Is there a benefit of using a routine like Buffer_IO rather than just alias tags? Thanks for the video
