You are right about the landscaping. Downtown New Orleans has streets lined with palm trees, as well as in people’s yards. We have citrus trees and a more tropical garden at my house (I live in the area). My neighbors have a mango and papaya tree
I think Oakenstead is one of the few EA Builds that are actually quite good. It's certainly the best house in Willow Creek and your renovation looks fantastic.
Simlicy, your ability to make eye catching builds is a skill not many people have. It is MIND BOGGLING how you take colors and match them perfectly with the vibe of a build! ❤ LOVE this!
I live here in New Orleans. I wouldn’t call it tropical it’s mostly swampy and extremely humid. Not so much tropical trees grow here. The area you’re renovating in would be St. Charles where there are huge Oak Trees and Willow Trees and Huge beautiful Mansions.
Idon't know if I already said it but beyond being a fan of your builds what I love the most about them is that there is always this realistic family-oriented vibes. When you build a family home we can feel the mom part of you that knows what kids actually love. Keep going !
Subtropical, the only part of that part of the U.S. that is tropical is Key-West up to Palm Beach gardens. The swamps and the bogs are subtropical along with the southern woodlands and the western deserts.
It actually reminds me more of the parents house in "The Notebook" more than Forest Gump, but either way LOVE this build and def going to add it to my save file. I really hope we get hotels or B&Bs in the sims, because THIS would be an amazing bed and breakfast!

Love this! I never knew Willow Creek was based off of New Orleans but it makes so much sense, I grew up across the lake from there and can definetly say it was always humid lol
I always end up replacing the lots in the game with renovated builds as the originals are too plain. So I will be downloading this too. Thanks for improving these builds for us

I think it would be cool to see a family home for a family on a budget. Maybe a young couple with their first child, just starting out. Maybe even a trailer home.
a bit of a unrelated question but how do you get you TOOL-mod panel to be to the side? mine is always covering up my build at the top and it is taking away my motivation to use the mod sadly. beautiful build as always though!
I usually love your renovations but the only thing I love about this is the landscaping I really wanted to like the house but you should have just tweeked the original oakenstead house and adjusted the floor plan and wall paints I'm really sorry that I only like the landscaping

i’ve been looking through oasis springs and willow creek- the builds really aren’t too ostentatious.

Is your reshade presets adjusted at all? I installed Dove 2.0 that you linked and it isn;'t nearly as nicely contrasting.
