Love this part of the uk, the North East coast, Alnwick pronounced Anick but there is also a place called Anick, you should stop at Spittal near Berwick on the border

Hi guys, congratulations on your 20 years (don’t they fly by) loved your story and the rest, just thought I’d mention that alternators have a small fan on the pulley to draw air through their internals, unfortunately they need to have some airflow through the engine compartment to keep the air cooler, it’s a known thing, even warned against with new alternators, as alternators generate as many amps as required at any revs the side effect is the production of heat? So at idle they will still charge as required but in doing so they often overheat and then the lube in the bearings melts away and they fail! So try and charge up on a run rather than stationary. Hope this info helps someone! Great vid many thanks Andy.

15:58 I wouldn't be without my split-charge relay! 😊
The one I've built just connects the batteries together when the ignition is on & the charge light on the dash is off so I've got to make sure the starter battery is charged (20 minutes at 14V) before I turn the key off but the next one will be bi-directional & Voltage triggered so whenever either battery is charging they're both charging.

I knew you two would be together for the road to eternity when Sarah had her foot run over, and Nick couldn’t get to Sarah fast enough, and his first words were “my love”, I do recall?
One of my most favorite videos out of all of your beautiful, and learning videos, is the one where Nick went snorkeling in shallow water. 😂 That was so hysterical to see. It’s nice to see the mutual respect you have for one another, and the darling love you have for your doggies as well.

At age 86 now, and my wife passing 8/1/24, and being married 61 years, we traveled in 40 ft diesel Class A from 2000 to 8/1/23, putting 143,000 miles in USA, CA and Mexico. We also had a residence in Michigan and 3 adult kids.... the nomadic life is great. My note: do it, it is so different and rewarding. Yes 24 years on the road 6 months of each year.

@theexPAWers Yes, before our RC life we walked on the Great Wall of China and crawled in the pyramids of Egypt. In 1983 we took our 3 teen kids to 7 countries of Europe the month of August. Enjoy your young lives.
