Great. Fuck this challenge. It's the last one I need and I've been waiting weeks for one good roll on the prismatic trials for this. This challenge us entirely based on luck and it's totally unreasonable. This needs to he replaced with a more reasonable challenge or they need to change up how prismatic challenges work so you have easier and harder options for them.
Update. I shit you not, I just completed it. However, the only reason I could was because the chrysalis wings glitched out and for some reason I had infinite flight. I had nothing but lemurians for enemies and just stayed out of range of their slow projectiles. Then, during the boss fight I just flew past a cliff and all the bosses (lemurians) promptly showed me their best lemming impersonations. Then the second stage had nothing but jellyfish enemies that were too slow to touch me. Got hit by one of their aoe's and the damage didn't go thru but I got frozen. Still trucked thru to the end and it counted. I'm simultaeneously relieved and a bit miffed that I only was able to do it due to the game shitting the bed twice lol
@@2midgetsinanovercoat638 You lucky bastard. My trial had the shittiest artifacts enabled. The maps were both ass. The chests had garbage, red item was rejuvenation rack. Enemies get items through stages and difficulty and got teddy bear 🧸. I said fuck that seed and waiting till next one.

it isnt so bad if you get a brooch fast since they die from your r. they really help when in bossfighting when you click r on the boss and they subsequently die and give you a big ass shield.
The trial that it changed to just now and the one before are actually nearly impossible to get it on. Since it has the artifact where loot only drops from enemies and because it has the wisp spawn on kill.
Biscuits oh I’m definitely not doing it on this one, I couldn’t even get past the first stage without getting hit and the loot is super super rng. I only got like 3 drops.

There are few things a game dev can do that deserve to have their hands stuck in an active toaster. Locking half a main character behind waiting LITTERAL FUCKING YEARS and still requiring perfect play when the stars align is one of them. That skill better be worth my time

Personally, I don't use it because Eviscerate on paper is objectively better since it grants i-frames, but I think it comes down to preference. If you want a different play style then it's worth trying out. It's not bad, I just think it's overshadowed by how good having i-frames is. I would get it but I wouldn't lose sleep over it if the current seed is bad.

Came searching for a guide during the current seed being Spite, Enigma, Kin with Ant Guards as the first map with Overloaded Guards as the boss. Feels near impossible to complete this challenge in the current seed, truthfully can't even kill a Time Crystal without waiting out R cool down

I DID IT!! I BEAT THE PRISMATIC TRIAL AS MERCENARY AGAINST WISPS (aritfact of kin) and that ONE ARTIFACT THAT SUMMONS WISPS ON DEATH! I HAVE NO IDEA HOW I GOT THROUGH IT BUT I AM GOD'S STRONGEST MERCENARY!!!
Luck is part of any Rogue-like/lite titles, however personal skill such as weaving skill 3 and 4, time taken to run a route, and finding a deterministic routes to minimize risk and maximize survival is the bulk of the challenge. Some days you get lucky and have a god run, but most of the time you have to make do with what you have and this video's purpose is to explore those outlets.
The seed only plays a role on the difficulty of the task. Here's some further advice I can give you that might help you out a little more: 1. Since the trial is seeded, all the items will be the same. Take one run to scout out all the items/drones, etc on both maps. Clear time or getting hit doesn't matter on this run. This is mainly to give yourself a clear goal/path to make your way to. Maybe a chest will have a crutch item like topaz that will help you get through it and you want to plan your route to get there. Drones will help you draw aggro away from hitscan mobs. 2. Wisps have a unique spawning sound alert. Pay attention to this because you almost always want to be killing wisps first. They normally spawn in a pack but Blinding Assault (BA)should normally kill in one hit which will refresh allowing you to kill up to 2 more wisps with BA. Use Eviscerate as a reactionary tool if they do shoot at you or offensively to kill the last couple of wisps. Having good cooldown management for these two skills can make or break your run. 3. You just gotta go fast. The faster you clear the less mobs will spawn/difficulty of mobs will be lower (less elites and bosses) As long as the seed isn't artifact or swarms, or the one that spawns only elites, you shouldn't be overwhelmed. Imo those are the two artifacts I would avoid, but they are still doable especially if coupled with beneficial artifacts. Good luck! Hope that helps.
probably you won't see this, but, my game doesn't have an prismatic trial, at the gamemodes it has simulacrum and eclipse, idk, i am trying to 100% my game, and there is only the prismatic trials one if someone knows why id really apreciate
This is probably one of the harder challenges in the game so far. It's quite unforgiving and the seed can really change the difficulty of it. I don't advocate cheating, but if you are, please be courteous of people who run Prismatic Trials legitimately.
@@biscuits4815 i mean change the file from "has_achievement 0" to "has_achievement 1" or whatnot (assuming that works) and if i did i only need to do it once (i never normally cheat but content is locked behind a skill wall i don't have) but for now i'm gonna wait for a command glass artifact combo (maybe chaos too) the trial atm has far too many wisps though
@@darthvader2994 I agree that some content is locked in a skill wall and I'm not faulting you if you wanted to acquire it by other means. I'm aware of editing the xml files is a way to toggle your achievements. I'm only suggesting that if someone modifies their game that they're courteous not to affect others in the process. I wish you good luck on the next trial hopefully that one will be easier to accomplish.
@@biscuits4815 good news! today's one is ez pz, i did it in like 10 tries, also there's a youtuber called cabbage who is a speedrunner and every time a new prismatic trial comes out he has a video on how to beat it without getting hit the same day (it literally hasn't been out for 8 hours and he's done it)
I've only tried this twice and on xbox. The guy I watched earlier showed a wall glitch that only works for PC. I haven'tgotten artifactslike glass. I'm annoyed
The challenge is definitely doable without glitches or using glass. I've never played it on console/used a controller for this game but I can image Mercenary being harder to control. I would highly recommend looking around for wisps whenever you hear the spawn sound since those are normally the culprits of killing your challenge. Also would recommend scouting all stage 1 items and planning a route to get some of the run enabling items if they do spawn.
I personally wouldn't recommend running it with Artifact of Sacrifice -- the items that drop aren't seeded and because the monsters aren't seeded. It's too much rng for my liking.

I had one with artifact of kin which was lesser wisps and it also had artifact of honor so everything was elite😅

I would highly recommend skipping this one you'll save yourself the headache trying, but if you do get it done on this seed you're a mad lad.

It's doable. I think broach is just as good if you can find a deterministic way to get one.
