Big brake kits don't necessarily stop in a shorter time or lesser distance, they dissipate heat better under constant use. For the streets, our stock brakes are plenty capable of doing what they need to do
Oh, also don't forget to adjust your handbrake. Open the cup holder lid. You see that little square plastic cover? Pop that off, and stick a socket (10mm, I think? ) in there, and tighten it up
Yes, I won't bother with BBK because I only drive my car on the streets, not on the freaking race tracks. What I did is just paint the caliper a nicer colour to prevent it from corrosion.

I completely agree, if you want to track it, remove heat shields and get some air cooling. Proper Discs and Pads are doing plenty.
