Connect Chartplotter/GPS to VHF Radio for DSC and position data

I made the same mistake when connecting my stuff up. Take a look at my Pt1/Pt2 videos that shows how to do this. For mine, I had to connect the NMEA + wires only. The NMEA - wires go to ground.

Nice explanation of how this works cause wondering if I want a radio with built-in GPS or regular but I get the one with GPS cause it doesn't seems like my humminbird helix 5 can share it's GPS

I assume it will be similar set up/wiring if to connect Simrad NSS EVO to ICOM M330 DSC radio?

Yellow to yellow then blue to green.
