@@DunkMan11 Idk, as far as that movie goes, it had a lot of flaws (bad CGI, excessive lighting, etc.). I wouldn't say it's horrible, just... disappointing. It had some good fights and Indy, well, he's awesome at any age, lol. Even tnough I don't like it, I wouldn't say Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is horrible, just... mildly disappointing.
I love the fact that Indiana Jones takes place in the late 30s and you're driving around in a modern car.

As a 17 year old, who loves film making, and only has the ability to make short, independent films at the moment, this is amazing! Love the action sequences, and inspires me to keep making more!
UPDATE: ironically enough I made my own Indiana Jones fan film! It was so much fun to make and I think it turned out pretty good.
Keep the dream alive! And from somebody slightly older than you, try to stay out of student debt as much as possible.
Even though I'm a professional filmmaker now, working as a director on TV and films, I still have my very first short films on TH-cam and I don't plan on removing them because, like you said, I'm proud that I've made them! It doesn't matter if they are bad, they still mean so much to me.

Give yourself some credit! Yeah, some shots or facial expressions linger a little too long, but what I saw here was much better than it had any right to be, being the amateur project of some kids and all. ;)

I think people underestimate how difficult it is to make a movie that you're genuinely happy with and willing to show for peoples entertainment. Being a critic means you don't risk much coz its easy to say "eh, this was shit, stupid movie, bleh bleh" but the process is much harder than most people give credit for.
I'm currently writing my first screenplay and it is a daunting experience just to execute on an idea you hope people will enjoy.
So yeah, chris, you may be my favourite critic, but you also know what it takes to make a fun movie you can be proud of :)
It's a bit uncomfortable rewatching these after knowing what you were going through at the time.
It’s admirable considering the restrictions Chris was faced with, it also makes a lot more sense why the skull melting was cut now, always thought that looked great given how little money they had.
It's more sad than anything. A young man who is full of creativity and ambition, stifled and made to feel evil for wanting to create. Super ambitious for a teen filmmaker and it's clear why Chris has risen to the level he has as a content creator.
After the Jehovah’s Witness video, this video gets a bit more sad.

Dude, it sounds like you're proud of those movies and you SHOULD be! Every filmmaker has there beginnings and makes wonderfully terrible films, especially the good filmmakers! I have plenty of movies I made with my friends years ago, and yeah, they're not great, but it was so much fun making them and they're still a joy to watch! Filmmaking should be fun; forget about the technical stuff.
I'm cringing but laughing at the same time. I'd totally buy these. They're truly works of art.

why? I have watched several of his videos and they are bland, boring and lack creativity. I mean come on "Stuckmannized"?....How big is this guy's ego? He named his following after himself? Meanwhile someone like The BlockBuster Buster named his The Legion of Badassitude. Thats way more creativity then using your own last name. Not to mention he bring no energy to the camera.

I can relate because when I look at the graphic "novels" I created when I was a kid,it looks dumb & funny now,but it brings back so much memories of those times when I spent countless hours to create them :D :)
Can really relate to this. I also made no-budget movies with my friends as teenagers, but they were James Bond films not Indy. So bad when I look back on them but as you said, we tried!

Now that he has deal with that though... why not release it? I get the music situation but if you don’t care about monetization for one video, you should release it. ! Chris was a Jehovahs Witness from childhood to about 24 years old. They are a very restrictive cult who use psychological manipulation and shunning to keep members from leaving. They don’t approve of things like movies and video games etc, unless of course they come from the organisation itself, they especially dislike violence in what they call “Wordly” media. Chris most likely did not use the effects shot of the skull melting to avoid getting in trouble with his elders, for how graphic it is. They would probably say that it displeases Jehovah or something along those lines and punish him in some way if he had used it.
Chris has a full video on how messed up his childhood and teenage years were in that cult. My shoddy explanation doesn’t do it justice. Scary stuff!

The ending really hit me. I've been struggling to do this Avengers movie of mine since September. I did one before, and it wasn't very good since it was a Captain America: The Winter Soldier rip off, so I tried to do something more original. It's been almost a year since we started doing it, and it's been tough. I've wanted to give up so many times and move on to other projects to poop out on TH-cam so I can get more subscribers, but I realize now that that's not important, but this is important. Finishing this video of mine means something and it will mean something when I grow older and I look back on my childhood. Thank you Chris. Thank you for the boost of motivation. This is my new favorite video of yours because I connect with it a lot, and like I said, the ending really inspired me. Plus, that stache.

Aron T-900 I would say so did the prequels too. They took away the mystique of the force by having it be biological and not supernatural. The prequels didn’t FEEL like Star Wars. I felt that the filmmaking on display was far better in the sequels. These were filmmakers with visions and who have skill. I know they are hated, but I guarantee, they will in time, just like the prequels come to be respected. You watch. Maybe in 5 years, maybe in 10. But it will happen.
I don't know why, but when i watch homemade movies (whether they're mine or from another) i don't feel "oh my god that's awful" as someone would normally expect. I actually feel inspired, with the fact that someone used all on his disposal (which is not hollywood high quality or anything to top a sandwich price tag) to make that idea come true, with a bunch of friends who share the same excitement and the same thought of seeing this thing come true. And best thing of all, it's all recorded. Whether it's on your computer file or sadly deleted by any kind of misfortune, you still remember what's the feel of being a director, dealing with all you have, the budget, all your resources, that's nothing short of awesome to me.
So thank you Chris, for sharing this with us.

I would actually like to see these movies
These were actually really fun to watch. Wish you could release the full movies, but I get why you can't. Your passion really shines through, and I think that makes up for the (very) low-budget production value. Something like this is way more fun to watch than many multimillion dollar Hollywood productions with no vision or passion behind them.
And really, the way the shots are set up look pretty good. There were some things you pointed out yourself, like the way you shot dialogue, that could've been improived, but it's clear you actually put a lot of thought into the camerawork and editing. Not to mention that your acting is pretty Indy-esque, like in the way you chuckled after that miss with the machete etc. With a better camera, better lighting and a bit more experience and these movies would have the potential to look really cool.
