I have a pretty large collection of Sleeping Beauty Turquoise jewelry. Its my absolute favorite! I just love the Robin's Egg Blue! I just want to swim in it! 😂
I was pretty addicted to buying it for a few years!

Another winning and educational video, Mike!! I was very surprised to see black web nuggets of the darker blue. Those are amazing. I own some pieces of rough which, when polished carefully, include a yellow matrix with some orange too. Have you ever seen spiderweb Sleeping Beauty?

I would love to come across a Rough Cut Sleeping Beauty Turquoise. I have jewelry but not 1 rough piece! This is very informative and I appreciate you!!

Hi Mike, I remember about a year ago or more you gave the name of a native American young jeweler who makes beautiful hand cut heishi necklaces from natural sleeping beauty turquoise. What was her name please?

Hi Mike. I wanted to ask about Pyrite in Turquoise. Is it dangerous to wear since pyrite contains arsenic? Thank you!

I am neither a doctor nor a geologist but I imagine that would depend on the concentration and whether it is ingested or somehow absorbed. Since it would only be a trace amount and unless you are sucking on your turquoise, I would think not. Some turquoise contains trace amounts of uranium but at minuscule levels that are not harmful.

Ever hear of 'Blueboy' turquoise? Was in Navajo country in 70's, saw some nice stones. I was told it was from 'Blueboy.

In The Glossary of Mines in Turquoise in America Part Two 1910-1990 you will find reference to Blueboy in both Esmeralda and Lander Counties in Nevada.
