Marcelo is fine with bad posture because he’s pinning the arms with inside grips. A double bicep “steering wheel” is my choice. that specific posture is helping him pile the weight on the pinned arms. He does this no gi all the time (so do I ) and he’ll suddenly let go and fix posture to bust open the closed with a step back push down …you can’t sweep or sub without the arms and it’s harder to climb/get hips moving then people think. Plus you’ll feel it coming a mile away. makes it easy to stand if you get stuck with a broken posture plus opponent has optimal grips like over the back belt -
