Essential Gear for Starting a Youtube Channel - My minimal and compact “studio”

- As a beginner, you have to eliminate distractions. Invest in some gear that will keep you focused on communicating to your audience, rather than the technicalities of making a video.
I'm not a filmmaker. This video isn't even colour-graded (see that matrix green?). My priority is to make videos quickly! And to communicate effectively with my audience.
Until I'm doing that perfectly and easily creating high-value videos each week, I don't want to spend my time learning about image quality or fancy editing. You can't do everything at once.
I have a minimal setup mostly because I continue to make videos while travelling. I'm about to become a digital nomad in Asia. I will be spending only 90 days in each country, and travelling with only a carry-on suitcase.
All my TH-cam gear needs to be as compact as possible and adaptable to various situations such as hotels and Airbnbs.

The equipment you need:
- Camera with flip-screen and recording indicator.
- Tripod or light stand that doesn't take much space.
- Comfortable audio - don’t slouch to record.
- Lighting - Window is best but you need backup lights.
- Batteries - don’t be stressed about running out.
- Cables & Adapters - Buy more than necessary
- Memory: At least 128GB SD card, and at least 500GB computer.
- External hard drive, so after you finish editing, clean your computer.
