excelent video!
Thanks!
great work!
Thank you 🙂
I finished it! Created my first power BI and it's amazing. Thank you so much for the step-by-stey process!
Although, it needs a work email where I only have a personal email so I can't really my creation unless it's work email?
Glad that you liked it!
Yes only work email can be used to publish the dashboard and you will need a paid license to share it with others. You can create a Microsoft Developer Account or Azure Active Directory to create a work email id. Below is a video on how to do the same. Hope this helps!

Yes, please if you can use SQL Server(create dataflow) as a source, and more advance will certainly help. This is certainly good and delivered at a good pace.
Thank you very much
Sure 👍
Thanks for watching!
I just loved the video. it is very useful... Your explanation is on point. Request you to create end to end project with a complex database which involves using simple as well as complex DAX queries. Also if you could create projects involving SQL queries as well. Thank you in advance. Waiting for more project videos.
Sure. Thanks for watching!
Its really awesome. 🥳🥳
Thank you so much 😀
Hi, this project walk through was amazing. Learned a lot. One thing I am unable to do is, to change the custom tool tip background as per the project background. can you please let me know how can that be done? Thank in advance.
Tool tip background was also created in PowerPoint. In case you want to check the settings, you can download the actual pbix file which I created from my website.

lots of things in a short vdo,, at least i watched 2 to 3 times,, especially some new formula, and Adobe colour code, new for me,,, i like this one ... cann't imagine within a hr there is lots of knowledge to collect.......
Really glad that u found it helpful. Check out the DAX masterclass video, which covers lot of essential dax:

First ever time in my life i seen this type of video
Glad it was helpful, thanks for watching!
you are a wonderful lecturer, just one question, when i append the 2 tables, so i get 2 Case_Type columns and when i try to make a donought chart, it shows me outpatient and Blank legends only, what shall be my plan of action be?
#thanks for the support, looking forward to more projects by you
Thanks for the appreciation!
The problem you are facing is most probably because, while creating the "Case_Type" column in the Outpatient data, you might have made any of the below mistakes:
1. Difference in Spelling
2. Extra Space in the Name i.e. "Case_Type " or "Case Type"
3. Column name in small case i.e. "case_type"
Basically this issue happens when Power Bi is not able to find the column with the same name and consider the column as a new column. That is why you see 2 columns for Case_Type.
Hope this helps!
Hii .. Great Work! Please guide us on other data connectors also
Sure I will! In the meanwhile check out this video about query folding where I have use the sql connector for getting data from postgresql:
th-cam.com/video/XSVkHS_M94o/w-d-xo.html
yes please. provide videos on data collection from SQL servers, API, JSON etc
Sure ill plan something for future videos 👍
@@pivotalstats Thank you.. because most of other videos available currently in youtube are only showed .csv file import for analysis but not on other methods using. it would be great if you show something like that using other file importing types
Nice video,, thank you so much and can you please explain why age profile has the 0-15 age group for twice?
Thanks for highlighting this!. I think I missed a step during data transformation. Basically in Age Profile column there are few entries where 0-15 is entered with a "Space". So all you have to do to rectify this is to go to Power Query & apply a Trim function on the Age Profile column of All_Data table (Power Query Editor >> Transform Tab >> Format button >> Trim). Hope this helps!
Hi, can you tell me your thought process when you created the mapping table for "Specialty" field? what made you think of such filter and how you did it. Thank you for creating the video!
Hi, The only reason for creating a mapping table was to avoid information overload. Showing 50+ specialty in any type of graph will create a cluttered visual which is a bad design choice, especially when we already have a detailed grid view on the next page.
Also to answer your question on how I did it. Since I have some previous experience in Healthcare domain, it was just a matter of a google search. Hope this help! Thanks for watching!
Amazing video. Very well explained. I had a question - If we select "Average" filter then in Donut chart the "Overall" value shows "54", but individual values by case type are 80,19 & 12 whose average comes out to be 37. Could you please advise on this?
Thanks!
The reason you see that difference is because 54 is the monthly average of all the numbers in the data. Its not the average of 80,19,12 because these itself are the monthly averages of each case type. Hope this helps!
@@pivotalstats Understood. Thanks! Also I was wondering as to what the "Time bands" indicate? Is it for how long a patient has been on waitlist or something else, as I believe understanding this would help in generating meaningful insights.
@@rajpadwekar5974 Yes you are correct, Time Bands indicates how long a patient has been on a waitlist on a given date.
@@pivotalstatsGot it. Thanks for the help!
1:00:56 where did you get the outpatient tool tip and what all parameters you have added kindly help
Not sure if you are asking the same, but starting from 58:48 I have explained all steps involved in creating the tooltip. Let me know if you are asking about something else...
well, it's a good video, make me undestand how to use power BI. but, sometimes i still confuse how to determine a design style that i want to use? can you help me? and why you choose blueprint design for your dashboard?
Hi, There is no fixed rule for finalizing the design. I usually take inspiration from Google or Adobe stock. However the main factor behind the final design will always be your stakeholder. So talk to them on what they want to see in the dashboard before you start designing.
Excellent. Can you help in making inventory analysis.
Thanks! Sure ill plan something for future videos 👍
Hi , i have a questions. What website we can get the inspire to build our data structure? Sometime i find it hard to tell my story through my data
Try this book, it should be a good starting point.
Storytelling with Data: A Data Visualization Guide for Business Professionals (Cole Nussbaumer Knaflic)
Great video! Any chance you can create a video where Smartsheet is the source? That would be very helpful for Smartsheet users! A video on building a Project Management Dashboard using Smartsheet as the source for the project plan.
Thanks! Although I personally never worked with Smartsheet, but I will explore it. Thanks for the suggestion!
Great video! Could you make a video on how connect and work with Zendesk's data?
Thanks! I personally don't have any experience in Zendesk, but I will create videos where we will connect with other cloud platforms. Hope that will help!
Also I will keep this in mind and try to explore zendesk if possible. Cheers!
thank you so much for the tutorials. there is null value (blank) in Speciality_Name when has append queris as new, why? can you please let me know how can that be done? Thank in advance.
I think you missed a step where we use the specialty mapping table
Thank you for this project it was so helpful. I have a question, I noticed I keep getting blanks in specialty_Name at the point you want to filter for top 5. is there a reason is so?
I think you must have missed the step where we use the specialty mapping. It should solve that problem. Hope this helped!
Explanation and everything is nice but skipped some of the task like visualization for detai part
Thanks for the feedback, I'll keep a note of this for future videos. Cheers!
Hi! You mentioned the reason to add the "MEDIAN" filed alongside "AVERAGE" field is because the data has some "OUTLIERS". I wan't to understand whether these outliers are the one's in the "TOTAL" column or you are referring to something else?
Hi, Yes I was referring to Total column. In few specialties the total number is very high and because of that if you look at average at an aggregated level then it might not be make sense. So its just an additional option that we are giving to the user for better analysis.
@@pivotalstatsUnderstood. Thank you for the clarification!
Thank you sir for your sharing and useful information
Welcome 👍
Hi in your Archive_Date column there is only one date in moth respect, if I have multiple date in a month is that formula will work at new measure "Latest month wait List" , Please suggest.
Hi, In that case same measure will not work, instead you can do something like below:
=CALCULATE(SUM(All_Data[Total]),EOMONTH(All_Data[Archive_Date],0) = EOMONTH(MAX(All_Data[Archive_Date]),0) + 0)
yes, please i'd love one with connecting via SQL Server
Sure, ill create something soon !
Hi, thank you for this amazing video. I have one problem, its like the only case type in the All data table is ( Day case and inpatient) the outpatient is not showing. Can you please help
I think you might have missed a step in data transformation. Case Type column does not exist in the Outpatient data, so we have to create that manually. You can check the video at 13:45 , where I show how to do that.
If you ever see this, could you please include the link to where to convert the text to date? My power Query is having a hard time converting the archive_date to a date format from string.
Hi, checkout the below video:
th-cam.com/video/quEN7orGuSA/w-d-xo.html
Very good explained.could be slower
Thanks for the feedback. Noted for next time!
