High hips for a stronger deadlift

- Lil John made it cool to get low but his deadlift is probably shit 🤷🏻♂️ I’m goin to need you stay high. At least your hips. One of the most common deadlift mistakes in either stance is sitting too low to keep the chest vertical. Well we want some room to play there and slightly higher hips is better leverage. Check your hip higher and wether you can flex or extend your T-spine. If you can’t your too low. Fix your starting position and most of your lockout problems disappear as well.
Share this yo your story or I’ll tell your kids about tye monster that lives under their bed and you sit get any sleep for weeks! 🧟♂️ save it too because there’s now a $10 finder fee for non clients

Demonstrating while speaking doing 220kg is absolutely ridiculous. Thanks Trevor, great video!
You know when that barbell hit the floor, that it's real weights 😅
Perfect explanation
not all of us have orangutan deadlift specialist arms T.T
This explanation is a great example to why sumo is far inferior to conventional. You're talking about using less quads, more back to add numbers to your "deadlift". Deadlift is supposed to work a bunch of muscles. To have a strong conventional deadlift you need it all. It's not a choice of which muscles to prioritize. It really highlights the lifters priorities and motivations regarding the lifts.
Most underrated channel. Your content has help me be more of a efficient lifter I greatly appreciate you for everything.
Thank you. As people share it, the channel will grow
Which one will involve more lats?
I would think having hips higher would activate lats more, as it activates the back more in general than compared to the emphasis on the quads and hips from lower hip position
Say no to sumo
He never did a deadlift.
😂
Whether I’m pulling conventional or sumo (I alternate them every back workout), I try it start with my hips half way between my shoulders and my knees, as seen in a mirror in front of me. This splits the load between my back and my legs pretty evenly.
Lumbar extension should be what gets your torso upright not thoracic extension. The muscles of your upper back should be isometrically holding to prevent spinal flexion. Some good points here for sure though!
Bio mechanically that incorrect and inhibits hip extension but shortening the hip flexors. You can keep rigidity of the spine but having a strong enough brace and nuetral pelvis position.
Sorry bro, sumo and wearing that hat…no thx
This is not a deadlift
Cry about it
@@mg44bee67 there is only 1 deadlift: conventional.
@@Klepzeiker1984 just mad you're bad at sumo
@@Klepzeiker1984 why would you have any idea what a deadlift is?
It’s a variation, same as there are multiple variations of squats
Sumo is irrelevant anyway
