Also one thing I love this pack more than other GGD packs is how detailed and dynamic it was sampled, significantly more velocity layers and round robins, you can manage to pull off a jazz swing song with this.

So naturally, I was clueless as to how these drums could be processed and implemented. Hey man. I'm having an issue with reaper outputting everything in mono it seems. Or just generally being wierd with stereo and panning and what not. I was wondering if you have ever ran across this or could help me out. Maybe we could talk somewhere other than here. If searched the forums and end up just getting super confused. Thanks
I've honestly thought about getting this just because of the cymbals. I love the ride, the stack and those splashes. If you added in some drum samples from Invasion or Modern and Massive, you could do some crazy stuff.
It's great in the cymbal department, but I'd get Invasion for more variety knowing what I know. For me this is about the shells!

Hi João, quick question if you know and don't mind, I'm trying to figure out how to route the reverb that is built into GGD P4 Matt Halpern Signature Pack to get it to go to its own channel or to the room channels only, it seems to only come out of output 1&2 (Kick) I'm trying to get the reverb to route to its own output instead of output 1& 2

Joao could you do a video on which drum kit you choose for some of your mixes? I'm a fan of GGD but can't decide between Modern and Massive, Modern Fusion and the one kit wonders.
It's a matter of tone!!! You need to recognize what drum tones you like and what drum tones fit the song more 😊 more tones! Not just guitar now

For the drums how did you get the drum reverb on a separate track? was it routed through the P4 kit or an FX Send?
Through P4, start your kick on 3/4 and save 1/2 for reverb

How are you getting the snare so thick and cracky? I'm getting like way to much bottom snares in my mix if that makes sense. It's very rattly especially with the ghost notes.
Some low end boosting is in order, and also just turning down the bottom snare! It's not really my favourite sound in the world for that exact same reason
Was waiting it since the library launched, you made me buy Invasion, and this is handsome, does the uprade worth it from Invasion ? I mean, less snare and one already in Invasion, and less mix option, like really worth it or nah ? Great review as always, always great content!
Oh awesome my friend! If you have Invasion, you have enough variety that you can save your money if you need it. It's just an incredible different flavour of the same ice cream 🤗
Hi, very nice tutorial :) Do you have any tut for routing GGD drums in the way you have it here? What I mean by that is that I see that you have busses for snare, kick etc. instead of using all channels for every part of the kit (like every type of microphone for each track separately). I'm using M&M and I hope I've made myself clear enough tho. Great stuff

I'm dumb, I forgot to add it back in the end! There is no processing on it, I use it just like it leaves the GGD sampler

Hey man hope you see this. How are these working out? Cpu? I have all 3 libraries but invasion is too much on cpu for my MacBook. Modern and massive and halpern are quite okay though they only lag sometimes.
These sound great and I really wanna buy em just don’t wanna spend $70 and have it not be useable
Invasion is the one that's most demanding so you'll be ok with this one!

It depends on what you'd like Matthew! Listen to the examples for both and decide if you prefer the bigness of MM or the precision of P4!

Muito obrigado amigo! O teu DAW deve ter alguma coisa stock que possas experimentar. O Reaper por exemplo tem o JS Saturation que faz muito parecido e subtil. Senão, tenta o IVGI da Klanghelm, mas tens de ter cuidado para não abusar nesse! Kel abraço

This one runs way better than Invasion man! Also try updating your Invasion in Native Access, they've fixed the CPU usage being too much

@@joaoldmedeiros it actually worked. I bought the P5 kit but i cant use it, because my PC is too old to Support Kontakt 7. So i got the P4 kit as well and that works in Kontakt 6 or lower :)
