  • In this video Josh and I went spearfishing for reef species (blue throat wrasse, snook, magpie perch, flathead, etc.) while freediving 8+ metres deep to the local area's reef, in Port Phillip Bay, Melbourne, Australia. We also gathered scallops in the area, found an abandoned anchor and explored new grounds.

Haha no way! Missed completely on the fish that got away earlier, then swim down and pick it up. 😅 😂 nice one MATE! The ocean was like “your not going to waste this one buddy”

Nothing beats finding a fish that tore off and being able to bring it home! Sick vid

Great video mate! Scallops can be a little patchy in that area, but they are definately there in good numbers in most spots. Id also be a bit careful divin to far away from your boat even with float and flags, alot of boats will drive past you quite close to your boat at full noise.

Thank you mate! Yeah I've heard about productive scallop beds where getting limits is doable but I've yet to discover them. Still fun. Agreed about the boats, we did fine that dive but they are always the #1 threat.
