Brian, I'm glad you did the live stream. Too bad you had technical issues, on that stream you had over 300 😁. Al always love your videos WHAAATT....? never gets old 🤙🏼❤
Pro tip: Save all the small stuff and take home. Spread a small amount on lexan, add a little water, lightly shake to level it all out, and illuminate from UNDERNEATH. Anything transparent lights up nicely. You wont miss anything this way.
I have amazing memories of my mother and aunt taking me as a young’n to an unsalted mine in the smokies. I remember the little garnets; each one was a treasure! Thank you for a great prompt for that memory. I will definitely take my teens soon to that very spot!
I couldn't see any of them until you picked them up lol. They are gorgeous Bryan and I imagine a great deal easier òn the body than digging the out. Take care my friend, good luck and happy hunting Mary-Ellen UK
My wife and I just went , had a good time. The operators were super helpful, informative, knowledgeable. You get everything you need , you don’t lug the bucket it’s right there for you. All in all a better time than I had imagined. Oh yeah we found gems!
Stopped there 3 years ago ended up back the next day also. They were soo nice and helped double check each bucket. Found plenty of gems and saw a 12 ct sapphire come out next to us..awesome
Look into Mason Mine too. That mine is unlimited buckets you fill yourself and has some amazing Mason Sapphires with a pinkish hue. It's super close in Macon County NC.
I love this place. Miss Effie was a spitfire when she ran it. We mined at Schuler just down way until it closed in the 90s. My family vacationed in Cowee Valley every October for about 25 yrs. Now we go occassionally in June.
Yes, my Home State has so many beautiful gemstones and even some gold! Was hoping you'd pull out a few of the gumball rubies and sapphires! But truth be known, amethyst and topaz (blue) are my favorites! WTG!
Wow. You have excellent eyes for those little bitty ones, I was just ah looking so close to see, everytime you would say, you see that. And no I couldn't see it until you picked it out. Lols. So Beautiful. I would like to do this. I would totally enjoy it.
One of my bucket list things to do is visit some of the gem mines you visit. Luckily for me my husband is up for it too. Thanks for sharing your finds.
I vacationed in Cowee Valley every October growing up. The tradition was started before I was born and continued until my grandfather died in my 20s. There would be 6-16 family members depending on who could get away. We mined at Schuler's until Guy died and then Cherokee with Miss Effie. I am sure she is long gone but, Cowee Valley felt like my second home. I am glad there are still a couple of unsalted mines left in the Smoky Mountains. My grandfather wouldn't have it any other way. He spent most of our vacation with his but on a bench and his hands in freezing muddy water.❤️
I really enjoy your videos and learned some tips for digging from you. So thank you. I live near payson Arizona area. And love finding the quartz scepters there. You gave me good ideas of where to look and how to dig. .thank you .
I mined the Cherokee for over 20 years when Effie owned it and also when Rays family had it! Over the years I have found numerous sapphires and ruby and had Bob cut the better ones, yes I knew now about the Cherokee!
Great finds. I'm going to have to take a trip or two until Jackson's crossroads opens back up. Love your videos and great help into what to look for. Thanks for the lesson. 👍👍
Awesome!! I really like the new look but, I really liked the previous also & someday! I would really like to go on some adventures like the ones you are doing.... 🙏❤
Awesome, great stuff👍 Thank you for sharing sir🙏 You Rock Mate👌 - You definitely inspire me to get my whole family out on mineral hunt next weekend💎 (Kenneth Prospecting Norway)
@@TheCrystalCollector We have just returned from the rock/ crystal hunt. What we found is not so much to write about, but we found two Beryll crystals in a mixture of quartz / feldspar, a little piece of molybdenum, I think. And of course a nice trip with the family.😁
I just bought a $50 bag of dirt from here because we didn't make it in time to go through it there. My hubby made me a screen thingy and I'm already finding all of what you showed in your video! Next time I go there I'm definitely making a day of it.
greetings cristal colecktor. brain. I am very happy with your videos. and fan of you. keep making videos. so that I can continue to enjoy the beautiful finds you make here in Belgium. I also love minerals and gemstones. but here in Belgium we don't find that much. most minerals are calcite. Greetings Erik from Belgium.
This is Zeke from Cherokee Ruby Mine. I love this video and so many of our customers have watched it. We would like to invite you back and waive your admission fee. We will also give you a private tour of the grounds.
That would be great, I would really enjoy doing that! I should be back around the summertime of next year in the area of North Carolina! It’s nice to know that y’all don’t salt the buckets like so many other locations.
Me and my SON LOVE YOUR CONTENT BROTHER, KEEP UP THE HARD WORK AND brilliant marketing man. Great videos ALL OF THEM, just keep in mind lil guys/girls watch
Beautiful stones. I'm a fairly new subscriber and I really do enjoy your content, I also watch the crystal collector as well, and enjoy the co lab videos. Keep up the great work. Eric Steinmann 👍
We totally save our pill bottles for our finds! Also save the much bigger plastic cat treat giant things....you never know how big of a stone you might find! LOL
Hey whats up? another great video.i am heading to Missouri mines rockswap this weekend.hanging out with Noodles+ the Red dirt rockhounds hope you make it down.
Hey what’s going on! I was supposed to be out that way by now but had some setbacks, so probably going to be a couple of months but can’t wait to hang out!
The live video was at a different location, wait till I put that out it’s going to be epic, found some huge Rubys! Thanks so much for watching and the support 🙌
I've wanted to go to the place for years. Normally you'll find me roaming North Florida's beaches looking for shark's teeth and other treasures but gemstones have always been a passion of mine as well. I would like to go crystal digging in Arkansas & Missouri too.
I could do this all day long. I'm from the UK so we dont have this apart from the salted type. I'm a fossil hunter though. Many fossils in our area in all the limestone in the fields. Keep up the good work
That looked really fun! Someday I would love to go and do that! Is there a way you can increase the volume of your recording? Lost half of what you said.
Wow such a cool channel my friend! New subscriber 😀 I like real buckets where they done add anything to 👍🏼 I’d rather get nothing just to no it’s not salted. Enjoyed your channel. See you on the next one
Great video as usual Bryan and what great finds! Looking forward to the edited version of the live stream! Also thanks for the bonus items in the last eBay purchase. My wife and I had fun cleaning all the mud and dirt off the specimen. 💎👍😮
I go panning up here in Maine. I think I'd like to try out these screens this season. Other then gold I find alot of gems, even diamonds. Most interesting is finding black diamonds. Always an egg shaped rock but inside is a beautiful black Diamond. I once found a blue sapphire as big as my head.
It might be easier to spot the gems if you spread the washed gravel thinly on a small piece of screen attached to a frame, then hold it up to the sun and look from under it. The sun will shine through the sapphires but the other stones will block the light.
eXotic Sushi thanks! That was at a different location, just down the road actually, I’ll have that edited video out soon also🙌 thanks for watching 🙌🙏⚒💎💎💎💎
Wonder how many stuff gets thrown away because people don't know what they've got? I certainly would have no idea. But this looks like a cool afternoon Nice finds too

Thanks for the support, the likes, shared, and subs🙌🙏
*correction* Rhyolite is the correct spelling, I got in a rush there at the end of video 😆

Anerol Llanes thanks 🙌🙏. I’m gonna try the live streams more often ; be more prepared ⚒💎😊💜
What mine is next? If its emerald hollow mine I'll be there, and if you plan it please tell me dates, so we can meet up
How is your neck and head doing?
Lots better thanks

Your shows are guaranteed to bring a smile....at the very least! I'm ooing and awwing all over the place. Great work Brian. Safe trip. ✌
Salted buckets often have more stuff but takes away some of the fun and unpredictability of mining local soil.

I just mined Oregon Sun stones because I was inspired by you! I love your videos!
How did you do? I'm chomping at the bit to do a little sunstone mining myself.
That’s so awesome! I’m headed out that way in a couple of months!
I live in oregon did you happen to go to the mine here every time I looked online it was closed?
This place is on my list of places to go when I get my driver's license
Look into Mason Mine too. That mine is unlimited buckets you fill yourself and has some amazing Mason Sapphires with a pinkish hue. It's super close in Macon County NC.
Mason mountain is the most genuine mine you can find up there, I wouldn't waste your time with others
I love what you do. You have beautiful hands and you are a gorgeous soul. More beautiful than any gem on earth.
Man that looks like a great time. Hanging by the flume with other rock lovers lookin for nature’s treasures 👌💎✨
Ahh! The flume...the only one we'll see is the one at Dreamworld! 😀😜 👍

I was thinking the same thing, Brian has an uncanny knack for seeing things others can't see.
One of my bucket list things to do is visit some of the gem mines you visit. Luckily for me my husband is up for it too. Thanks for sharing your finds.
Was out there this weekend. Had an awesome time and thanks for the tips. Found 5 sapphires with a total weight of 4.85 karats

Norman Ivey --EXACTLY. Paying to wash barren gravel.
It might be easier to spot the gems if you spread the washed gravel thinly on a small piece of screen attached to a frame, then hold it up to the sun and look from under it. The sun will shine through the sapphires but the other stones will block the light.

Did you say BUTTERFLIES!?!???
I'm totally going there someday
There must have been thousands of them at the start of the video, it was great
[emm im scared that human puffed all of those rubys and sapphires?]
You got others friends of rubies
Wonder how many stuff gets thrown away because people don't know what they've got? I certainly would have no idea.
But this looks like a cool afternoon
Nice finds too
I just gotta say something, i sure do love mining but i dont have any bigger tools other than a hammer and three chisels but its cool! All i do is just break rocks and there is geodes here where i live and they are very deep down havent found any yet but my friend has great channel!
Oh and by the way there is lots of silver and i just go mining in my backyard
I still don't understand what Unsalted means... I know he said 'straight from the mine' but what would the other type be???
Salted is when they add stuff to the dirt so that people can find things, and sometimes it’s not even from the mine
Me and my cousins were there back in 2001 we was near there working for 3 days and found ourselves there on every break at lunch we became addicted because we were gamblers at heart oh and by the way I still have all the gems that I pulled out of their wich included blue sapphires rubies emeralds
and of course garnets ,darnet
I would miss EVERYTHING, I just can't see them when they're in the rock piles! But so cool, I want to try anyway.
I went to the diamond state park in arkansas once because it seemed fun... I had no idea what I was looking for my entire day there, I could've found a diamond and not known lol 😂.
