This area has always been dangerous to lesser or greater degrees mainly greater even during good times. Remember when i first moved here with my parents and siblings in the mid 1980's place had movie theaters right next to each other and major electronics stores like CRAZY EDDIE. Now its a totally different face with even SEARS gone only a few blocks where BEST BUY still is with mom and pop shops covering most of everything else similar to what you get around 170th street. Nice GameStop i used to go there alot fifteen years ago now i go to the one near the Mosholu No 4 train stop. Thanks as always for the great walks. Who would have thought all those decades ago i would be seeing some of my favorite neighborhoods while sitting in front of my own computer on a cold November evening ☕
So I was born in the Bronx in 1988 and I was rise here in New Jersey and I'm still living in the Garden States until now but what I remember living the Bronx it wasn't like this now it got so dangerous what I have heard from family member that still live in the Bronx that I never ever would bother to visit them tell me that you can't not walk outside alone either catch a Urber or a Cab when stepping outside in this dangerous area...
When I lived in the Bronx, we'd go to 183rd to get weed. Now it looks like the place to go to get your hair cut. I counted 12 barbers and 4 nail salons over just 4 blocks on 183. The block between Morris and Creston particularly. Gotta be the peluqueria capital of the world. What's up with that? People's hair grow faster in Morris Heights or something?

I missed the "dangerous" part.
If it's in quotations that means you're unsure or what lol
