I just got back from my first solo cruise, I enjoy it and will do it again , i took all your advise . I got the internet up grade and stay connected to family and friends. Thanks!
Awesome! It's so great to hear that my tips helped you on your first solo cruise! And congrats! I hope you had a great time and that you have the next one booked!
I recommend sending your family the port authority's emergency contact info for each port you're visiting, including the departure port - usually the cruise line will have this on your cruise compass or in the app. It may seem overboard (no pun intended), but this gave me and my family some peace of mind during my first oveseas solo cruise.
Great tips! I'll just add that when you set your phone to the ship time, be sure to turn off the automatic update clock setting on your phone. Otherwise, if you connect to a local cell tower in port, your phone will update to the local time, and you may no longer be on SHIP time. 😬
Tip: Another number I keep on my cellphone, is the American Embassy when traveling outside the USA. I really like your tip of using sticky notes, that points to the aft, etc., of the ship to avoid getting lost and looking lost! Thanks for this tip 🛳️🛳️

These are great tips! I love the storing in on a drive idea. Makes it easy for folks to find your info all in one place.
Thank you so much, Regina! Yes, one central location and easy access is helpful!
Great tips also take a picture of your drivers license. Email a copy of both your passport and drivers license to a family member.

Always a great reminder. I have a list of all these things from some of your previous contents. Surprising what I missed the first or 2nd time. 🤦♀️
