Turkish gun manufacturers make superb modern combat handguns of high quality at affordable fair prices. I like all three pistols, being Canik my personal favorite but I have nothing against SAR or Tisa. People that reject or despise Turkish made pistols have no idea of how good they are because they haven't care to even try something different than Glock. Their loss!

Big Glock and cz guy here. I bought a sar bp6c 6-7 years ago when they came out (polymer cz75 clone) I think it was 279 bucks. Put a couple thousand rounds through it and sold it for more than I paid a few years laters. I bought a zigana px9 during the pandemic for 309. I actually did a 1K round review here on TH-cam. There wasn’t any info on them at the time. I just saw a gen3 version the other day and plan on picking one up due to the optics cut, Glock sights and flat faced trigger. I like they kept the p226 mags on the gen3’s
I have 2 Caniks ( TP9SFX, and Rival Darkside) and I have the Sar 9x Platinum edition. I must say they are definitely exceptional pistols. I have heard about Tisas pistols also being very well made but I haven't shot with one yet. It does look as if the US markets are starting to take notice of Canik and Sar because I have seen an uptick in their prices the past year. Tisas is probably just behind due to them being newer in the market but I'm sure that they too will be appreciated for their quality here in the near future. I'm very happy with my Turkish pistols and I actually enjoy shooting with them more than my glock.

The Turks are really making some great hand guns would you say they are giving US made handguns a run for there money I have several different makes and they all work flawlessly, I came across a few things that were adaptable but after a few test rounds that problem was eliminated doesn't take long to adjust to. And the best thing is the affordability,plus they have great names for each 👍
The Zigana PX-9 G2 is costing 1400 USD here in Brazil, despite all the import taxes. The CZ P10c is over 2k USD. We're seeing some Glocks Gen3 for 1500 USD but these Tisas really look interesting. And the Stöeger STR-9, which is made in Turkey too. I was expecting the brazilian-made licensed version of the slovenian Arex Delta Gen2 to be around 1200 but they're charging 1500 too. So I'm really wondering which one should I aim for...the Sarsilmaz SR9 looks interesting too. Canik sadly didn't show up here yet.
I bought a Sar B6 about 3 months ago. I’ve put about 1k rounds through it with no problems. I paid $199 for the thing. I’m blown away by its accuracy, build quality, and reliability. I bought a 19 round extended CZ75 mag and a standard 17 round CZ75 mag and both run flawlessly. It’s my EDC. I love it.
@Snake Doc, Thanks for the video, nice job! One suggestion would be to include the trigger pull for each gun. I agree Canik's are great values and also have lifetime warranties. It looks like the Zigada and SAR only have a 1 year warranty...
the PX9 is my nightstand gun as well. haha. I was surprised at just how good it was when I got it. I really didn't expect much at that price point but my god, they made a good firearm straight out of the box - and with how light the trigger is on mine, I'm pretty happy that it came with a manual safety. I do agree if I could change anything about the Tisas it would be that very bottom of the grip, I eventually ended up putting the small size grip panels on it to combat that a little bit - at some point if I ever run out of other projects or I get super creative and need a break from the other projects I may end up molding my own back panel for it - but again, for the price it's really hard to beat.

If something works and the patent expired, why not use it? Most firearms are generally a copy of someone design like John Moses Browning or improved variants of Johann Nikolaus von Dreyse needle bolt action rifle.

The only thing I can add to the convo is that I recently dry fired a SAR at a local gun shop on sale for 349$ the trigger in my opinion is lacking, but of course they need to be broken in. I do have a question for you though since you are an expert and have experience getting a milled sight relief cut. Does the loaded chamber indicator on the Canik prevent you from being able to do the milling for the RMR red dot? Thanks for your time and great video!!
I have a Sar K2p and just purchased the tisas zagana px9 g2. Found out the K2p fits the holster that came with the px9 better actual no rattling. Just wanted to put that out there as a FYI. Great vid Doc. Also got a Fobus Standard Holster RH Paddle SP11 for the k2p but the Px9 fits it better.
yup. these people didn't work on their own cars. They didn't spend money that they had to save from their jobs on it either. They ARE mostly kids or they're settlement recipients who spent their money to have shops do their work for them and it means nothing to them to throw a rod or bust a camshaft after 60 seconds of flooring the gas with their F***in car in park. Real car enthusiasts don't do that kind of S**!. Real car enthusiasts know their vehicles, they don't destroy them and they certainly don't go around intentionally trying to annoy everyone because most real car enthusiasts are doing their own work, funded by their own money and because of that they have a sense of respect for their own property and their own integrity.
to add to this: I feel the same way about the fake Jeep people who shove 35's under their jeeps, strain the driveline to it's absolute breaking point, shim the wheels out until it barely drives a straight line and then run the headers straight out the back and screw with the idle control because now it won't idle at anything under 3k rpm....okay - you want your jeep to run like absolute Dog$##^, I guess that's your perogative but stop trying to convince us all that we're not REAL off-roaders if we don't want to do the same thing to our cars.
I have a large hand and prefer the px-9 over the canik or sar. It gives you the feel of a full sized pistol but with a much shorter barrel and easier to conceal compared to a larger pistol. That's just my opinion. Works better for me.
There are 2 models of the PX-9 one has the manual thumb safety and a curved trigger and the other is manual safety delete with a Canik Elite style flat faced trigger. I have handled both and have to say the one with the Canik style trigger shoe does have a better pull, break, and reset; not a SF Elite, Mete, Rival, or Combat Executive grade action but pretty darn close. Now all these 3 companies need to do is make a 10mm model and it's a wrap.
Have/had them all and I live both in the US and Turkey. 1. Stoeger 2. Canik 3. Sarsilmaz 4. All the other polymers have a long way to go. But they'll get there. My $0.02

I like what they did to the grip and the trigger. I'm thinking about POSSIBLY maybe getting one, it's $399.99 which I thought wasn't too bad considering the shop has a indoor range and they give a 30 day FREE RANGE TIME with a weapon purchase which is GREAT. Not trying to be _that_ guy who shows up in every comment section to "well actually" you BUT... Much like JMB's magazine disconnect safety in the GP-35 (Browning hi-power), the manual thumb safety was more often than not, an afterthought. Many of the designs put forth for military trials were *required* by those conducting the trials to have more than one mechanical safety. Which, in my mind, is probably why the thumb safety mechanism on some of his designs are so diminutive and sometimes seem slightly out of place. 🌈🌈🦄🦄⚔🛡🇺🇸
My New SAR9T I just bought fell apart field stripping it and slide would even come off the gun never even been fire. SAR9T use cheap polymer roll pin falls out gun when pull frame levers down on the gun for field stripping. Once polymer roll pin comes out your SAR9T disables your trigger until put back in gun. So want really cheap made handgun gun fall part can not field strip get SAR9. If your smart you buy Canik.

Hogue XD grips made my PX-9 a chunky soft shooter that feels great in the hand. My Tp9 sf elite has a huge slide stop, so that criticism does not apply to the whole line. Side note, my Taurus G3 takes the PX-9 mags (P226 pattern) and TP9 mags (with no Last Round Bolt Hold Open). However, my only failure with the G3 was with a TP9 mag in it.

I really like my G17 Gen 5, but somehow I mostly carry a Tisas 1911A1 Tanker. I really adore that pistol

You don't have to push back the slide in order to take apart the tp9sf.

I cant seem to find a light that fits on my 2 PX9 G1. Im not sure if i got lemons or not. Ive stopped trying to buy lights for them.

It's a drop safety. Sig learned that the hard way with the P320...
The trigger safety is ALWAYS keeping your finger off the trigger until you have acquired your target.
