Thanks for posting this. My first show from my favorite band. All i remember from this weekend is Biscuits, spiderman acid and rain. I knew 4 songs and they played all of them Waves,munchkin,7 11 and basis. Saw 18 shows in 2002 and now over 145 total. Cant wait for Portland next month

My first show was Triscuits. I thought they were good but clearly missing something that took them to another level. This show slayed me. Easily the best set of the festival.
Holy shit, that 7-11 -> Basis Ending was fucking HEAT!!!! They totally cut that peak super short, though. When Barber goes for that Trey-esque bent note peak moment, right before he pulls the Basis jam-end lick out, that section could have totally been pushed another 4-8 measures or so for extra juicing.
More Bobble head bass for the world and peace and maps. Freaking out and doin work. The barb always has the most comfortable pants on the scene and precise fingers for mind drillings...unless they had a dr. On stage . OG status
There's so little of 2001 that's not worthwhile...just listen to this rapturous Waves jam in the 13:00 - 17:00 margin...there was truly an "easter egg" within the center of the individual songs or bridging themes in that era
Bisco kid late 90s early oughts . The kids dont get down like we used to guess the drugs were better. I feel bad for them. Anyone going to albany 18? My first show in years
Crazy how many people first saw bisco at this show, I was one of them. Me and my girl went to see les claypool and had no idea we’d be leaving huge fans of these guys! I miss those days we’d both just look at eachother and say “the tent” and she’d run to our tent and i’d chase her🤣
You can still hear glimpses of this time still to this day in 2022. I actually think this summers tour was one of their best in years. I just can't stand when they go into that repetitive house trance vibe for like 10+ minutes at a time. It all sounds the same and it's derivative asf. They just need to stick to the jams. They have the chops. I don't know why they decided to go so far into the house techno shit. It feels like they are going back to their roots some this year at least. More jam less techno.
They were an amazing band back then... and they're still an amazing band today. Sure there was turmoil, but at least they evercame it. Each year was & is special for it's own reasons, not one without bright spots
Barber looks so young. Wish they played half this good at vibes this year. What a dissapointment this years set was, they should never cover any dead again.

Barber was clearly on another level this evening. His playing is so precise and articulate, every solo thoughtful and well played, shit's great.
well said.
Clean super clean . You can tell he is good then! No effects to hide behind . Really tasty phrasing and dynamic , smooth rhythm playing too
