This is one of the top few musical revelations of my life, up there with the Beatles, Pink Floyd, the Grateful Dead. I can’t believe I’ve never really listened to this band. This is the jamband distilled into its purest essence in my opinion.
They've had some really amazing shows but I don't think it gets any better than this set. Everything clicked just right and every single second is rock solid playing.
1:10:03 > ending Straight. Up. Carnage. That is all I can manage to say about that!! However.., All the homies that were afforded the amazing opportunity to witness this incredible madness live and firsthand should cherish this experience. It is truly amazing.
It’s all about vassilos.. and the breakdown out of overture into basis. But reallly all about about vassilios. Top 5 basis but shimmy>basis will always win that battle. But this vassilios is why i still listen to this band and why i toured religiously with them from the time phish went on hiatus until Sammy left and even then still saw many shows from 2005-2010
1:00:51 from this moment until the Basis peak, Brownstein is actually kinda killin it. i'm legit impressed! i take back everything i've ever said about him not being a great player in this era.
thank you, Edward, for having the foresight to shoot some *quality* video footage of The Disco Biscuits in mid 99. Incredible work for what i'm sure were under tedious circumstances.
Best biscuit set ever played. It's strange, they're just so on here...it's like a different band. A band possessed. I really don't throw that around loosely. I have dozens, if not hundreds of "favorite segments" but in actuality everything else just falls under the overture sandwich. First time I heard this was literally life changing. I only go back and re-listen on special occasion...Sound quality here is terrific btw
I love the dark nasty untz but don't understand why the band and crowd get so into it when they are playing pre school children's music. Why not just play nasty untz the entire time?
This is IMO the greatest set of live music that’s ever been played. However as a whole my favorite show is 3/27/99. It’s front to back perfection.

So happy for you brother! The biscuits are something else. Truly the next stage in the lineage from the grateful dead and phish.
this is insanely good. one of the best bands ever.
Taylor Smith basis!!
Yess!! Absolute 🔥🔥🔥 bisco madness 🌲👽🌲 B4L ❤️❤️❤️
Can't go wrong with an overture sandwich. Absolute mad lads to open with that...but they pull it off! To think I was 7 when this happened.

I think you're referencing the overture? It's the opening song from the Hot Air Balloon Opera.. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hot_Air_Balloon_(rock_opera)
is no one saying this is a palindrome
It's literally titles "The Palindrome"
