Take a look and do an analysis on Drew Allar from Penn State. #1 qb in his class and was a 5 star out of high school. He’s going into year 3 at psu, and year 2 of being a starter. I’m a Penn state guy and I would love to hear your thoughts. He’s got all the talent in the world, if he cleans things up and can play with that swagger, he can be great. Seems like he lacked confidence last year and lacks being a leader. Recently he was asked in an interview if he should be a captain and he said “I don’t wanna speak for my teammates.” As a qb going into your junior season on a team like Penn state, he absolutely has to be a leader or we’re in trouble ….
As a former quarterback, its not a misnomer to declare your offense can only be as good as your offensive line. The best seasons of my career occurred when the line was gorilla glued together (cohesion and strong relationships were obvious). Colorado's offensive line was clearly makeshift compared to the protection granted to him at Jackson State. A good offensive line coach should be every team's main priority. And as skilled players, learn to feed the growth of their collective development as a unit.
I love Shedure's vision and how he processes the game quickly.
