Thats because the dawn is actually based on the old 7 series and has not been updated yet. The only car that had an original chassis was the phantom but now all cars are using it like the new ghost and cullinan. Dawn and wraith are yet to be updated. They also still use the old v12 engines the 6.6 liter as opposed to the current 6.75 liter.
Got to drive one last week as well as a Cullinan. Not a Black Badge but still very much complete with instant power from the hybrid, making getting up to speed effortless. Handles rather tightly considering the weight of the vehicle and the smoothness cannot be understated. The plush floormats are wonderful and seats reasonably firm but comfortable.
I just love how rolls royce makes the back low and the front high, also when you accelerate I JUST REALLY LOVE HOW THE FRONT PUSHES FORWARD SO PEACEFULY

When I had a Dawn, I didn't like the brake feel it was way too relaxed on first touch. You really need to press it very hard to get all the braking power. Then I learned to adapt my driving style with the car and break much sooner. The brakes are designed to slow you down in the smoothest way possible.
You don't know the speed limit of the road. The 40 zone started after he finished the brake test so there's nothing to indicate he broke any laws for the 0-60 or the brake test unless you have knowledge of this road.

3:24 Mat, you should check out those “Classical” Lincoln chimes in recent models, they sound more pleasant and luxurious, in my opinion. Lincoln are my favorite American premium cars, and perhaps the best ones from an American brand, aside from those from Cadillac, I still think Lincoln makes the most luxurious ones, though there is absolutely NO way a Lincoln can beat a RR in ANY possible way. Rolls Royce set the standards for the automotive excellence.
Why don’t car manufacturers build the car, get Matt to privately review it for them and fix all the issues he points out? Then there will be no negatives.

My brother has this car, he has the orange interior with the same white exterior. Amazing car for sure, would love to drive it one day.

3:24 Mat, you should check out those “Classical” Lincoln chimes in recent models, they sound more pleasant and luxurious, in my opinion. Lincoln are my favorite American premium cars, and perhaps the best ones from an American brand, aside from those from Cadillac, I still think Lincoln makes the most luxurious ones, though there is absolutely NO way a Lincoln can beat a RR in ANY possible way. Rolls Royce set the standards for the automotive excellence.

I prefer a Lexus LC500 cabriolet over this. The LC feels more luxurious and has really no wind coming into the cabin - even at 230km/h.

these posh, Luxury vehicle reviews are greatly appreciated but come back to what carwow actually is (place to buy a car, guide if the car is good or not for people to consider buying) you guys should include more and more "Cheaper nonluxury" or car that people actually consider/planning to buy like VW Polo, Up BMW 1 series, etc you name it since I think people that like buy RR/Any Luxury car basically didn't care about the review, or even give tips to *How to buy a used car safely* like what part you should check, etc
