@@P5ychoFox indeed it is not as promising as Mars Mission. But given the distance to mars, these missions give the interplanetary travel experience and may as well serve as an outpost along the way to Mars. But as you rightly feel Lunar missions are about 50 years old and we haven’t found anything exciting since the first visit.

I don't like to throw shade but Blue Origin needs to do way better. I was there when Rocket Lab was a pipe dream and now seeing them go 2 for 2 under 24 hours, I now realize that funding isn't everything. You really need passionate employees and a tunnel vision to make things work. Props to Bezos channeling his energy on rockets. This is what he should have done a decade ago. However, it's never too late :)
The big money for them is starlink...with revenue approaching USD$7bn for 2024 and they are projecting about 60% operating profit on starlink revenue! that is a fantastic money maker. The launches using Falcon Heavy start at around $90m fee
Elysia is surely good. Very good. Ryan is another equally good and informed presenter and my fav. His voice gives a feel of traditional television but his screen presence is an antithesis of his voice persona ..! No offence to Ryan ..!
With a massive number of frequency-hopping communication satellites, Musk could literally take over the world with enough drones that recharge off of power lines.
I love space, and I am really glad that a space-based economy is just around the corner! I'm just really sad that the US is becoming the absolute overlord over LEO. Wish Europe was also able to just take over entire orbits
This is a new product, also have low energy output(less than a watt/kg ) , but probably can be used on future small probes that cannot use solar power, cubesat size probes around Neptune for example.
It is outdated and becoming obsolete :) A new one is needed, which is improved in many ways :) More efficient to create a new one, than to reengineer the old ISS :)
Now that Next Spaceflight is part of NSF, why doesn’t NSF finally drop the “NASA,” (which is kind of irrelevant given the content) and just call themselves “Next Spaceflight,” AKA, “NSF?”

Wow, such a large amount of jampacked information from this week’s Space news. Thanks very much.
That was a feature packed presentation. Great work Ryan, and all who helped compile the information.
These kinds of videos are some of my favorite on the channel. Keep up the awesome quality!
I wonder how much of that smell was filtered out by the air scrubbers and how much was filtered out by the astronauts' lungs.
Well presented Ryan. Enjoyed ..☺️🚀

Yes, its a waste of time and money that could be spent building a base on the moon, not in orbit.

How does one take over entire orbits?
Why is nasa not use the nuclear diamond batteries
Those batteries produce an extremely small amount of energy.
@ oh ok they just last a long time but low powered make sense it is nasa
NASA uses plutonium, it has a 90 year half-life. This is how voyager is still powered since its launch in 1976/77.
