    Nice to see the light sun inside a room of a 3D professionals! This is a good video to understands what you don’t have to do in SLA printing.

      I was thinking exactly the same thing xD. I have also suffered watching him clean the FEP with kitchen paper. RIP FEP.

      @@kyoxone how do you clean it

    • @kyoxone
      @kyoxone 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Alex-co7gv kitchen roll has fiberglass and scratches fep. It is best not to touch the fep, let it drain and clean the edges with clinex (paper for the nose). If an impression has failed then after draining you have to add alcohol and wait a bit. Without using a spatula, just pushing with a finger (with gloves) the bottom of the fep, you will end up releasing the failed glob of resin.

    I am strongly considering this machine or a form2. Does anyone have an honest review regarding using this for dental or jewelry applications?

    What are the liquid solutions you dip the miniatures and build plate in? Are they both just water?

      99% isopropyl Alkohol. The uncured resin is soluble in Alkohol. There are also water washable resins out there though.

      @@AMAcademyBayreuth are both 99% isopropyl alcohol? If so why 2 vessels?

      @@ashishmathew8821 Yes, both are IPA. I did not have a washing station back then, which allows for better cleaning in one container (really, it's worth the money to get one) so I used to prefer cleaning in two steps as I felt it yielded better results. Not mandatory though.

      @@ashishmathew8821 one is dirty alcohol one is clean, they do an initial wash in the dirty bath to get the worst of the resin off and then use clean to get a pristine surface, after a while you dump your dirty bath, your clean alcohol becomes the dirty bath and you start a new clean bath with fresh alcohol

    A very very bad way to use this printer. Sun is not blocked, you use hard tools to clean the FEP, Alcohol not covered. Base of the printing platform just confirms the way you use it. Not recommended.
