I remember reading that they dubbed the voice because test audiences didn't think he sounded "cool enough". If that's true I think it's more higher ups screwing with production more than the actor being bad. There's a deleted scene with the original voice and I think it sounds way more fitting and natural.

In Son of the Mask though it’s clearly their attempt at trying to do the same method they used for the Jim Carrey make up on a different actor without actually making it fit his face. Like the same of his fake teeth are so overly big to the point where it’s not even comedic because the actors cant really express himself properly with it.

One of the weirdest things about this scene is that The Mask singing "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" actually happened in the comics. Only difference is that in the comics, he sang it at a metal concert, and everyone booed him and hated it.

This movie is so nostalgic to me. I think I was one of few who actually enjoyed this movie. I think I was also one of very few who saw the sequel before Jim Carrey’s version. So I’d say I was fortunate to watch from worst to best
I really like this movie because of this sequence and Loki. it makes me think that maybe the mask should be in the MCU but alas the Mask is owned by Dark Horse so that ain't happening.

The sad part about this movie is that the dad only uses his mask transformation twice while in the first one he worn it many times yes true it’s all about the baby and he uses the powers through out all the time but hey at least they could’ve added more scenes where the dad using the mask too 😁 Who knows maybe the movie would’ve been better

I am Uruguayan and I saw this movie when I was a kid and it impressed me. Not only is it bad, but it's absolutely entertaining and interesting, but uncomfortable at the same time. I do not know. It produces a roller coaster of feelings.

This is one of the worst movies ever, let alone an insult to the first Mask movie. I hated how it wasn't even directed by the same director from the first movie and not only that, 90% of the movie was about the baby and 10% was about the mask. They need to do a proper sequel with Jim Carrey and redeem this franchise back on track
