This is the repair and painting of the old 24T baler on our farm, bringing it back to the best she can be. The days and memories of old are brought back to life by fixing this old baler back up. The total cost was $3500 dollars but it was well worth it to me. - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
its so cool how john deere still sells parts for these beasts
Dad and I used to run a 24T. Good machine. Never missed a lick
The J.D. 24T baler was a very good baler with a John Deere A tractor nice combo.
Got a 14 T balers I hope to do the same when winter ends. Thanks for the great video.
Great job! I'm starting on our 14T this fall/winter.
That looks really good my friend good job good work
Yep it's kinda old but it will still get the job done we had one and bailed Thousands of bailes with it you done a great job fixing it up really looks nice 👍
Very nice job on the baler, I hope your children enjoy it for many years to come and they can then share it with there children and keep your legacy going.
Brian Harrington thank you for the kind words
Nice job
I have had 2 24T balers.
I always had trouble with bolts on the gear box coming lose.
2nd the chain on the clutch always stretch and through off the timing.
Job well done!
We have 2 of them. Ones a back up in case we need it but they both work great
Nice vid, nice job!
So cool man
good job
what size tire you used?
Very nice job on the baler! Are you going to be using the Farmall Super M on the New Holland baler this year?
thanks, probably use the john deere 5083E for the live PTO power is just nicer on the body=) Super M could do though
How bout threading that beast, got a video or diagram please?
have you tried using the 3720 with that 24t? I'm curious to see how it would handle it. really nice job, makes me want to restore one!
the 3720 can run it yes, but it cant pull the full team of bales on the wagon with it lol
I guess that would be a rather large task haha, love your videos, I like how you care for your stuff.
put the ole A John Deere on it. thats what i use 1950 A John deere with the 24T and a hay wagon works good
Very clean restoration, could've used your touch on our old 24T !
Where did you get the 24T decal?
we ordered then through john deere
What year was the 24-T built? After all the paint you put on it ,I would demonstrate it and retire it from baling hay.
very good , but should have the newer style logo { john deere }
Ahmedabad me price
Where did you get the pickup guards from? I am doing the same thing to my 24T baler and the pickup head is banged up and could use new guards, I priced them from Deere and they are $80 each!
i got them here and painted them

ReefDVMs, thanks!! I’ve got an opportunity to get a 224 wire baler with a pickup head that’s in very good condition for real cheap. I talked with my JD dealer and they seem to think the 224 head will fit the 24 baler, the only differences I saw is that it’s belt driven as opposed to chain drive and it has 5 rows of pickup fingers instead of 4. I took all sorts of measurements and my tape measure tells me it will fit my 24 baler.
Watching your videos inspired me to refinish my baler!!
use the baler
power washing a baler is a horrible idea
Pretty bad restoration...
