Thanks so much. I am babysitting it so hopefully doesn't choose to throw a hissy fir and pop everything off! Thanks for watching!

Thanks for your tutorials Audrey, I find your teaching style really clicks with me. I am relatively new to throwing and your instructions are thorough and easy to follow. One of my many favourite music genres is "Yacht Rock" from the seventies . In particular I love Steely Dan and Loggins & Messina. Americana is wonderful and contemporary artists I'm enjoying are Brandi Carlilie and Jason Isbell.

The throwing is really helping. I handbuild but I took a throwing class. I didn't make much progress. Watching your technique is helpful as is just seeing how long it takes and how much patience you need.

That is so nice to hear! Thank you for that. Really, I learned a whole lot by just watching TH-cam videos of people throwing. I certainly have not mastered it yet! Thank you for watching!

    What a glorious creation.
I love all kind of music enjoy classical. Mozart of course being from Austria, but too many to choose from.
Grew up in the 70's where we listened to bands that played with drums, guitars and base etc-proper music 😅😅
Then the different eras as well, so it's hard to choose a favourite.
My musical ability is humming and singing to myself. It's a good mood indicator for me.
If I notice I've not been humming a tune. I know I'm getting blue.
Happy potting and take care 😊

Thank you so much! Very fun to hear about your musical preferences! I have also loved different types of music throughout my life but I never latched on to hip hop, rap or country. Nope, not for me!

@ your work is so precise and clean. I go to your site when I want to know the right way to do things. It’s been
50 years since I learned to throw pots in college. My husband bought me a wheel last year to get back into the craft - thinking it would help the arthritis in my hands. It has!

Love this and the music. It is very soothing. It also reminds me of some of John Williams’ Star Wars music. I’m a Classic Rock 70s girl. But also like Prog Rock. Pink Floyd is my favorite band. I like some classical, but don’t listen to it enough. I also like the later 60s and 80s music. Can you tell when I grew up? 😂 I LOVE THE OLD Motown R&B. 60s thru 80’s. I’m not a hip hop fan or Country. I played the clarinet in JH. ❤

Thank you for the great video, in every stage there is new ideas for throwing, trimming handbuilding. I just got my griffin grip, the first thing I’m going to trim is a mushroom cup :). Are you going to share with us the glazing? A glaze along maybe? And I usually listen oldies while throwing. I had four older brothers, so I grow up with “their” music. Looking forward to your videos 🙏🏻💐

One of these days when you are throwing would you please show/explain your wheel set-up? I can see that you have 2 buckets (one for water but the other for?) and something you are putting your needle tool into. I have never thrown before and am trying to learn from potters who are willing to share on youtube but most experienced folks forget that newbies literally know nothing and forget to explain the very beginning basics. thanks in advance

    • @AudreyLynnStudios
      @AudreyLynnStudios  17 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

I absolutely will! Sometimes, I think to myself, "No one I know is going to want to see this!" And then I remind myself that there are plenty of newbies on TH-cam wanting to learn. I didn't even think of showing my set up. I can do a short tomorrow and then next time explain it again. Ok?

Thank you so much for the response. Another thing that confuses me are the glazes. What do the different kind of glazes do (run, stable, etc?) I know that's a full subject on it's own but just an overview would be helpful. Also, what does the vinegar do and why/when to use it? All so very interesting but overwhelming when beginning. You have done so much in 4 years that I hold out a bit of hope for me that I might be able to do something worth keeping before I pass 🙂
