I was one of the guys talking to you in the arena lobby for a bit after super 32, my coach the one in purple. Wanted to say it's nice to see such a channel creator in person, and it's great to see how many people you're helping with your wrestling content.

Why would you bump Haines up to 165 ? Keegan O'Toole has entered the room.
I don't think Levi Haines would win 165 but I just think their best lineup has both Levi and Mitchell in it.

Curious to hear your opinion on whether or not Wisconsin needs a new head coach with that lineup last year. How are you win one big 10 duel is beyond me now this year their team looks like a high school level caliber squad.
Probably should be on the table for consideration, in wrestling we rarely see coaches fired due to performance but Bono certainly hasn't done as much as I think most expected. Lineup not great this year really only Barnett and Hamiti. Braxton Amos didn't really hasn't done much after being an all-world recruit.
Isn't Gable coming back? It will be fun to watch it all go done. It's weird to think with you scenario that they could have 7 finalist and not beat the points record.
Gable led his team to his 15th and final national title with five champions, six finalists, eight All-Americans, and a record 170 points. They were not the favorite to win that year.
It doesn't appear that Gable Steveson will wrestle.
Yep, a couple 5 and 6 seeds from Iowa came out and won it.

Next year should be even better. With the right transfers and the recruits coming in, PSU might just have 10 finalists. And with a rule change or 2, and again the right transfers, 2 years from now could maybe see 12 to 15 finalists for PSU.

6 NC is a possibility. But it always takes some luck to win an NC. Anything can happen. The regular dual season is going to be kind of boring.
Run the numbers on the finals last year. One match would have went from decision to major in all weight classes.

Howard went 7-6 his first year of wrestling. I have never seen a wrestler go 7-6 in one year and then become a great college wrestler. He will likely be (another) stop-gap option until we get a good 125 pounder

If we assume that the new take down rule leads to more bonus points then how can we we compare past team points with today’s?
We really can't unless you go back and re-score all the matches with a 2 point takedown but I think the tournament scoring was different in 1997 when Iowa set the record so I think we just take as a raw number and go with.
I can agree with that. Maybe riding time rules changed since ‘97. With rule changes in mind the comparison would make a good argument but would take ALOT of time.
It’s harder to win now than 25 yrs ago. Wasn’t Iowa over the scholarship limit for several yrs around that points total?
I am not sure, haven't ever heard that but that certainly doesn't mean it didn't happen.

I want to preface this by saying, I LOVE PENN STATE WRESTLING and have went to MANY matches in rec hall and BJC….I was a 60 year resident of State College and recently retired to where it’s warm all the time.
7 years ago or so, I inquired with Penn State about donating to the cause to get decent seats in rec hall that I could call MY SEATS till I didn’t want them…..I was asked to meet with a person at the BJC that was in charge of taking donations and heading up inquiries like this….I explained I wanted WRESTLING ONLY and was told via email that I would have to donate 100k to be considered for a chance at seats.
Plz tell me ur thoughts on that, and if anyone wants to see the email to verify, let me know.
Wow, that is a shocking amount. But Penn State has a huge wrestling fan base and rec hall only holds 5K. So I can image front row seats could go for a lot but I didn't expect 100k. You probably have a lot of big donors that donate to football and have since become wrestling fans with Penn State's dominance so they probably get preference in seating.
When I met with PSU, they had me meet a man by the name of KEN CUTLER, and he is also the person that sent me the follow up email.
I just never wanted to scramble for tix, but I could have bought seats for 2 lifetimes, from vivid or someone like that, for that amount.

When? Haynes trajectory was vastly different than Facundo. If your cousin on the team what happened with Facundo last season? He wasn't the same wrestler in the later part of schedule.
