Sehr erfreulich ist, dass man trotz des Neubaus der 3S-Bahn Grindelwald - Eigergletscher trotzdem die Zahnradbahn in Betrieb hält, sodass jeder wählen kann, ob er mit der heutigen Technik des 21. Jahrhunderts auf den Berg fährt oder aber mit der Technik des 19. Jahrhunderts zu Ururopas Zeiten.
