If they do make it an RMC, I think it will be an easy #1 for the park and it wouldn’t even be close. Also, if they call it Twisted Twizzlers it will be the best name ever.
I think they could go for the hybrid inversion record. Throw in a jojo roll at the beginning or two barrel rolls at the end and it's definitely doable.
I love how People can't see the truth in front of them when it's literally slapping them in the Face, GCI FB Post might give ya a clue on what's happening to Wildcat and what's replacing it in 2024.
When I was younger Wild Cat for me was my first unique layout GCI coaster I've ever ridden. I love how long it was and that beautiful view of of the huge turns. But yes! Hershey better RMC this ride. 😤 or else we are protesting. Lol
I was researching the height of the potential RMC. I saw that if it is over 200ft, it has to be at least double the height (so 400ft) length wise away from the parking lot. Right now, Wildcat is right next to the parking lot, so it I don't think it can get over 200 ft tall. If it were to be that tall, it would have to be at least 400ft away from the parking lot.
@Eli Braff If the coaster is over 200 ft tall, it has to be the height x 2, away from the parking lot. So if it was 250ft tall, it would have to be 500 ft away from the parking lot
Derry Township zoning section 225-425 says it has to be at least half its height from property lines adjacent to public streets. Skyrush lift is not 400 feet from Park blvd but is over 100 feet from it witch is half its height so theres plenty of room for them to go taller than 200 but i dont see that happening but wish it would
Pennsylvania needs an rmc ibox conversion. The closest I think is steel vengeance twisted timbers and wicked cyclone. All 7 hour drives at the very least (from my house). So this is the perfect location for it. The already stacked lineup is perfect. It doesn't even need a vertical drop either. It will be a top 20 in the world and top 10 in America undisputed if rmc came in. And it would be good to have my first hybrid be a monsterous one 🤣🤣🤣. Hershey is only missing in my eyes one thing and that's the rmc. They have b&m and intamin looping coasters. A launch 2 hypers and so much more. An rmc conversion is the big ticket item Hershey needs to truly be a top 3 park in America
Sadly it will not be over 200 ft, hershey park does have a height limit. It is a very obscure rule that states that the distance from the station of a coaster above 199 ft must be 400 ft away from the parking lot.
GCI Titan track doesn't make sense as a giant PR campaign. If they said that Wildcat was gonna be better than ever then that would make sense as Titan Track. But if they make you think there's some major new thing coming then RMC makes way more sense. Titan Track will probably work more for ground up coasters, redoing rough sections or as some way to preserve old woodies more or less as they are. But preserving woodies as steel coasters with the same layout seems more like a logistical concern and not a big promotional issue.
Okay cool but problem is titan track was intended to change layouts- hence why they specified it can do inversions, etc. If we saw titan track in this way it'd be a complete new layout, I think That being said, this is obv rmc
I’m seriously hoping that they make it at least taller than great bear possibly. I’m also hoping it will be a higher tier RMC because it seems that RMC has learned more and more about how to make a perfect experience. Although with the new leaders or whatever they are called. It could differ from previous RMC’s
I'm so glad I got to ride Wildcat for the first time before they converted it! I can't wait to try out the RMC'd version, but classic woodies will always have my heart.
Just got back from Hersheypark: awesome place and glad I got to ride Wild Cat before it closes. Not a fan of Vekoma Boomerangs, but Jolly Rancher Remix was great! Skyrush was terrible but loved Storm Runner, Fahrenheit, and Comet, amazing how trains and seats make a huge difference on rollercoasters.
I kinda felt like they should of gave it Titan Track so they can keep the first ever GCI but if they do RMC it, I won't complain. Even if they just remove it, that will give them space for a new attraction cause Hershey has no room to expand.
I think we won’t see too much airtime actually. When you have Candemonium and Skyrush in the park, I think this will focus more on G-force and banked turns and inversions. Of course it is depending on the designer (which will probably be Mr. Draves) This will make Hershey get into the top Three coaster lineups in the us hopefully!
RMCs don't do a lot of laterals. Would like to see this one have some laterals, like Twisted Cyclone (or whatever the one at Six Flags New England is called).
I think for them to be closing so early, they could be removing the entire lift like iron gwazi and installing the structure, doesn’t have to be 200ft could have a low turn like sky rush that would be insaneeee🔥
Going to Hershey this August. It’ll be an amazing visit as I haven’t been there since 2020ish. Meaning I never got the chance to experience Chocolate Town and the new Jolly Ranger Remix Ride. I am so excited and I can’t wait to go later in the future to ride this supposed Wildcat rmc
I also made an analysis video on this, but i'm awful with names so i couldn't help there🤣 but i'm super excited for this to happen. It'll easily become the best ride at the park thanks to how much RMC has improved their craft since they started.
Seriously, though, if it's taller than Fahrenheit with a bigger drop than Great Bear, it'll be relentless through that layout. Wouldn't be too surprised if Hershey one-ups Jersey Devil with a 131-135-foot lift. Since 10/24 RMCs are over 131 feet tall, that'd put it right about average in size. Can't wait to see how they amp up the layout.
The Titan track isn’t meant to re-profile a roller coaster (at least in its full version). It’s more of an RMC-ish conversion. Honestly, I hope the Titan track happens, since this is obviously a special coaster for GCI.
Correct - and I really wish more people understood that. They've said it can do inversions, etc. It'd be a new layout. With that being said.. I think RMC has definitely already been chosen, based on the reply, etc- though I'd hope hershey had looked into both
Even though it probably won't happen in a million years, I would LOVE to see an RMC with a vertical loop. I know Alan Schilke hated loops, and Joe Draves seems to avoid vertical loops as well, but it would be awesome to see that happen
@@kryn1030 uhhhh no they aren't. Many vertical loops are actually quite phenomenal. From the insanely intense and forceful ones you find on Schwarzkopfs and Arrows, to the ones on B&M inverts that make your legs go numb, to the slower ones that deliver phenomenal hangtime on coasters from Mack or Gerstlauer.
Initially I was gutted by the title of the video. Hershey used to be my home park and I haven't been able to go since moving out of state. Wildcat was my first real woodie (Comet is neat but a bit too tame) so I've always been hoping to go back someday and ride again, but if it gets the RMC treatment that would be a great way to revisit! My main hope is that it doesn't get torn down, I'd hate to miss out on another ride as I already missed taking a trip on the Roller Soaker before that was removed.
I love Hersheypark. It’s my favorite park, always has, always will be. I would have preferred a re-track/titan track but the RMC idea is definitely growing on me. I think it’s gonna resemble Joker in a lot of ways, especially with the first drop and first turnaround. I can definitely see a stall right out of that first drop/turn around, and some nice banked and outer-banked curves towards the end of the ride. I don’t want it to be an Iron Gwazi, I would rather like a Twisted Timbers, a little more low key if you know what I mean. I would like it to have a burnt orange/deep red track and be called Wildcat: Untamed, or something along those lines! I’m excited! And btw, I actually do like Wildcat and I’m a little sad that I’ll never be able to ride it in its original form again
I think with this being the first GCI, it makes some sense that it could be the first full titan re-track project as well. Maybe we get that GCI inverting woody.
When they did Wicked Cyclone, RMC *lowered* the height, and it still came out as the best ride in the park. They're probably not working that way any more, but I doubt this gets the hyper-hybrid treatment--it's just not big enough to begin with.
As a season passer. Wildcat is always a ride I skip. It has horrible whiplash and is so uncomfortable. Just road it for the last time yesterday. The park was packed but yet no wait time for this ride. So happy to see it gone. Worst ride at Hershey.
The fact coaster development takes years of planning, even from RMC, I feel Titan track will be the highest option. RMCs are becoming very repetitive and titan track would be something completely new. The titan track is capable of inversions so I expect titan track with inversions.
Titan track is not happening. RMC literally commented on Hersheypark's post we have some ideas. Also gci posted a goodbye to wildcat which definitely means they are not touching it.
@JJV1224 yeah it can, but being from,a different manufacturer and brand new design concept is plenty different enough for the near future. Hershey has a good relationship with GCI and I feel GCI has been planning this for sometime now and being granted to use it fully on there very first coaster.
You both make great points and I hope everything you say is truth! I really only enjoyed Wildcat in the first few years it was open. Once Lightning Racer came along in 2000, it kinda rendered Wildcat obsolete. An RMC would be PERFECT.
I think GCI should retract their first coaster! XD it’s crazy, but ig it makes sense. It’s their first coaster, and if they wanna make it better, then fine!
I'd like to see GCI do a complete redesign in the style of RMC. With wildcat being the first GCI they have got to want to keep the legacy of the first one also being the first redesign. I won't be upset if it is a RMC but if I was GCI I would do whatever I could to keep my first ride going on in someway
If they RMC this coaster, it is going to be very hard to put on the breaks. From when I road it new, you were literally speeding faster and faster when you at the end. Revamping this with inversion would be the BOMB!
A handful of respected RMCs aren't hypers. Lightning Rod, albeit a terrain coaster, has a 165 foot drop. ArieForce One will be 154 feet tall. I can definitely see RMC going for 130-150 feet here. (The 200 foot rule means the height could still be nearly doubled!) If they don't focus on airtime, I hope they throw in some laterals, like Wicked Cyclone in Six Flags New England. But I do hope this is more like Iron Gwazi, incorporating a complete mix of forces, as you already have airtime machines (the hypers) and loopers (the other Intamins + Great Bear - and someone pointed out this park's collection lacks hangtime, so that's another thing this coaster can focus on).
I can’t help but feel like, given your documentary and working with the RMC company, that you already knew it was gonna be RMCed and maybe even know the layout?! Definitely a stretch but I feel like you guys would know given they’d tell you so you can plan to ride it when it opens, give it publicity, amp up the excitement for it, etc. Regardless of that thought, I am HYPED for this BEYOND BELIEF!!!
hear me out. kennywood has the steelers coaster so maybe make hershey the eagles coaster, and call it iron eagle. silver track, dark green trains, and a eagle style design ? also i'd say go for the 202 ft record, but doesnt hershey have a height cap at 200 ?
As an Eastern PAer, Hershey sits pretty much right on the the imaginary line dividing the state into Eagles and Steelers fans (with Ravens fans not too far to the south), so I highly doubt it. Would be cool though
If they ever made a sports themed ride it would definitely be Hershey bears or something. Philadelphia is like 2 hours away from Hershey so it wouldn't.really make sense.
I wrote wildcat for the last time yesterday it was bitter sweet it used to be my favorite roller coaster in the park work now it just beats the crap out of rap out of you so I'm kind of glad to see get a face left
This is definitely going to get RMCed but it should be themed to candy. I get what Theme Park Avenue is saying how it could be called Twisted Twizzlers but that does not reference the old ride so I think it should be called KitKat so it does acknowledge the old ride. Think about a red track with brown supporters so it looks like a KitKat. But if they do go with Twisted Twizzlers the track should be red with white supporters.
My home park is Hershey park and GCI tweeted i think but i know they said this coaster has a great history and we are sad to see it go so that means RMC!
When I went there about 2 years ago a ride operator said it was getting the GCI Titan track treatment, but given how that has seen 0 installations and it's been sometime I wouldn't be surprised if they went back on their original plan to hire RMC instead.
A good rename I saw for Wildcat was Sabertooth. I think it fits perfectly as it still fits the theme of a cat but it comes off as more intimidating, as rmc wildcat should be if it happens. I live in Pennsylvania so I hope they do not disappoint !
I have been waiting for rmc wild cat for a very long time. I live like very close to Hershey and have gone there countless times and I have seen wild cat get worse over the years. And I am being murdered with all the rumors I just need them to announce it. Even though it sucks I still have some memories on it :( it’s bitter sweet but there’s better on the way
Yes, I know it’s a bad ride now but I was hoping to hit it up in August after my brother-in-law ruined a planned trip 2 months ago and now I’m gonna miss the first GCI credit 😢
I was 💯 on-board with RMC doing the conversion, but I’m backing off on that a bit now, to like 99% sure. If you saw the GCII post where they paid a bit of homage to Wildcat, the last sentence said “Always more to come…”. I’m not so sure a busy park like Hershey would be the best fit for GCIIs fist full circuit RMC-like conversion with Titan track. Considering they’ve barely done existing track retrofits, doing a full circuit conversion would be a real gamble. And let’s face it, a full course retrack with Titan track and retheme just doesn’t doesn’t give them a lot of bang for their buck. Like most of you, I agree that an RMC conversion of Wildcat would make HPs coaster line-up one of the best in the country!
If they do make it an RMC, I think it will be an easy #1 for the park and it wouldn’t even be close. Also, if they call it Twisted Twizzlers it will be the best name ever.

Definitely a stretch but I feel like you guys would know given they’d tell you so you can plan to ride it when it opens, give it publicity, amp up the excitement for it, etc. Regardless of that thought, I am HYPED for this BEYOND BELIEF!!!
No one from RMC has told us anything about this project, this is completely our own speculation
@@CoasterStudios Thank you for the reply! Guess we’ll all wait for more details with bated breath 😅
I think world's of fun in Kansas city Missouri is getting the coaster, because I heard that we are getting a wooden coaster
Hopefully y’all come to fiesta Texas to ride Dr. Diabolical
hear me out. kennywood has the steelers coaster so maybe make hershey the eagles coaster, and call it iron eagle. silver track, dark green trains, and a eagle style design ? also i'd say go for the 202 ft record, but doesnt hershey have a height cap at 200 ?
As an Eastern PAer, Hershey sits pretty much right on the the imaginary line dividing the state into Eagles and Steelers fans (with Ravens fans not too far to the south), so I highly doubt it. Would be cool though
If they ever made a sports themed ride it would definitely be Hershey bears or something. Philadelphia is like 2 hours away from Hershey so it wouldn't.really make sense.
That would make more sense for Dorney tbh. Hershey is honestly kinda in a "major sports team desert"
I wrote wildcat for the last time yesterday it was bitter sweet it used to be my favorite roller coaster in the park work now it just beats the crap out of rap out of you so I'm kind of glad to see get a face left
What are the chances two coaster enthusiasts find each other let alone these two with the exact same personality. Super cute
But if they do go with Twisted Twizzlers the track should be red with white supporters.
twisted twizzlers is a fitting name since Hershey had been re theming rides to Candy, but it’s corny. Iron cat would be better.
What if they did like a 3/4 Barrel Roll drop that twists to the right like the original layout?
Hopefully RMC can somehow preserve the most universally beloved feature of Wildcat, the angry geese that operate the breaks.
Finally they'll be closing Wildcat for good but, I hope it will be a RMC one day.
Riding it Tuesday! One last ride🥹
Taylor and Sarah talking about what color it will be:
Me: I'mma let you finish but twisted cyclone/hakugei are the sexiest rmcs of all time
My home park is Hershey park and GCI tweeted i think but i know they said this coaster has a great history and we are sad to see it go so that means RMC!
Can't wait to find out !
When I went there about 2 years ago a ride operator said it was getting the GCI Titan track treatment, but given how that has seen 0 installations and it's been sometime I wouldn't be surprised if they went back on their original plan to hire RMC instead.
Anyone realize Taylor is wearing a abyssus t-shirt. They already went to Energylandia and I can’t wait for videos on it
I see it being around 150ft with a brand new first drop and turnaround before reusing the Wildcat sections in the latter 2/3 of the layout
A good rename I saw for Wildcat was Sabertooth. I think it fits perfectly as it still fits the theme of a cat but it comes off as more intimidating, as rmc wildcat should be if it happens. I live in Pennsylvania so I hope they do not disappoint !
They are probably going to re theme it to a Hersheypark themed ride
I think they should use black iBox track I don’t think they have use the color black yet and black would look pretty cool either black or pink
1st rmc in Pa..PA... I bet yes
Abyssus shirt. Nice!!!
I have been waiting for rmc wild cat for a very long time. I live like very close to Hershey and have gone there countless times and I have seen wild cat get worse over the years. And I am being murdered with all the rumors I just need them to announce it. Even though it sucks I still have some memories on it :( it’s bitter sweet but there’s better on the way
omg if they rmc wildcat im going to scream and cry happy tears bc i live 1 hour away :D
Once again, I'm team Sarah, I love the yellow track on this.
Assuming RMC does end up doing their thing to Wildcat, they should call it "Mountain Lion".
I think it would be candy themed it will be called twisted twislers and have red track
Yes, I know it’s a bad ride now but I was hoping to hit it up in August after my brother-in-law ruined a planned trip 2 months ago and now I’m gonna miss the first GCI credit 😢
Make it a long single rail hybrid. It would be the first of its kind.
Gold track!!1!
