Curing koi pond with excess mucus foam caused by skin parasites, a new treatment using de foam

  • Fish naturally produce slime as a defense against ectoparasites. This slime acts as a protective barrier to prevent parasites from attaching to the fish's skin. However, in the case of koi in this fish pond, excessive slime production prevented effective treatment of the Trichodina and skin fluke fish parasites. While a single round of medication would have typically been effective, the abundant slime coat inadvertently shielded the parasites from direct contact with the treatment, allowing them to survive and continue harming the fish. In this video, we explore the issues caused by excessive slime and demonstrate a novel modified treatment approach for a successful cure to the fish diseases.

I was very happy to find the channel of a fish doctor who discusses fish diseases and how to treat them. I really hope you will be generous in making a video about the characteristics of tilapia disease caused by aeromonas and streptococcus and how to treat it, thank you very much 🙏

Hi doctor Richmond, how is it going?
So I wanted to ask you about a problem that I've been facing for a while, my fish (and I mean all of them, guppy, gourami ,etc.... ) seem to have some problem with their gills (the gills only no other body parts are affected) ,they scratch their gills against the walls of the aquarium and pretty much any object, knowing that it has nothing to do white spots and I tried several treatments including salt and formalin, the itch would go for about 3 days and then go back to the same condition, I'm always keen on water changing regularly and never neglect my fish yet nothing is improving!
my fish have been suffering for months, answering me ASAP would be greatly appreciated.

hello fish doc, i have some contradictive information to share whit you,,, in my experience whit tinfoil barb ( red tail tinfoil barb ) they can live over 25 years ,,, they prefer colder temperature 22-25 celcius ( u dont need heater ) and it was a success for me to clean filter sponge under TAP WATER ... i have 2 x FX6 filter, but you better do one filter at time... or 60% of your complete filter can be clean under tap water,,,, available information mention they live only 10-15 years, and need 26-28 temperature,, well that is not true , ok thank you that was my experience whit my ADORABLE BARBONYMUS

salt bath is very stressfull. and normally done to kill parasite whit osmose ,, it may be useless and very stressfull if your problem is not parasite... try the water change and wait. you also should add a gentle '' wide spectrum medication. for example, paraguard , it will possibly save him before the doc give you the REAL solution ,, that normally need biopsy @@muskan4688
