Vendor Link: youtube.com/@hockfiresaws?si=uwLnESmDLkT3zTag Let me know your thoughts on this clone. Imo, the closest saw to the exterior is a Husqvarna 545mk1, and the motor being closest to a Zenoah G5000.
In terms of style they have tried to adapt parts so that the shell looks like a 545. Muffler is for me the highlight. Good review Doug, here we are talking about a clone at 1/3 the price of a Noker.
I've got 4 Stihls and a Husqvarna but my curiosity got the best of me and I ordered a $100 Stihl clone from Amazon. 58cc 20 inch bar and I was very skeptical but after using it for some heavy duty sawing I was impressed. So impressed I ordered another one just in case I need parts. Both of them start, run and cut amazing.
So it's an easier to maintain zenoah with crappier part support. The muffler if bought separately could make 5 series husky exhausts real easy to modify.
KNK actually has their own website. I've purchased a lot of spare parts from them in the last couple years (mostly for mowers and string trimmers). They are definitely not the most cost effective in general, but I usually end up getting a few things. Pretty sure they sell a few different "branded" names, too. Below is the specs listing from their website, in case anyone is interested. Interesting that yours came with a different size bar & chain than is listed but don't always believe the specs and info are 100% accurate either (from experience) 50CC GASOLINE CHAIN SAW Engine/Bore: 50cc/45mm*32mm Power: 2.3kw/2.8HP Fuel consumption: 560g/kwh Rim Sprocket: 7 teeth x 0.325" Bar & chain: 0.325"x 0.058"(64links=16") N.W./G.W: 6.8/8.5kgs CHINA CARB/OREGON CHAIN/CHINA BAR
The shine on the piston is a bummer. If someone wanted to run it stock, like I would. I would have ended up with a scorn piston in no time. That's why I like name brand saws with warranties, no offense. Happy Holidays Mr. Indiana Doug! God bless and lots of love!
I think that’s super cool and a good price too. I love me some 50cc saws. Got a Brisco built 4910 and a 550 mk 2 that just got its muffler back from HMWF split should rip really nice too. Let’s see it in some wood. If memory serves Boedy got a GZ5000, maybe just a G5000 ripping pretty good I think. That cylinder didn’t look terrible at least.
Interesting 🤔 not many know why the cylinder is angled down to the throttle handle either 🤨 can't remember if it's for more lowend torque or high-end hp. I don't quite remember. Hopefully someone chimes in on this! Very interesting.
VERY interesting saw. I tried like the devil to get a couple of those imported over a year ago. But they were gonna charge me $250 for shipping, so I bailed on it.
@@IndianaDoug I tried to get a sample sent over from EMAS(E509) in 2019. I'm pretty sure it is the same thing, especially since they used to advertise it as 50.9/54cc; same story as Boedy, shipping plus "bank charge" was $160us for an $85 saw. I see EMAS has an A and B version now, with absolutely zero description as to what's different... 😂
i have not had great success with the Chinese brand of gas engines perhaps pulling them down and making a few cleanups is the answer.. My past employment used a lot of the 4 strokes and i learned to flush out the crankcase with a oil change after letting them run for just a bit also not to trust the low oil sensors but that was 4 strokes .
I dont get the zenoah clones, they could be really good saws but they're not. They cant seam to combine good plastics with the good 54.6cc motors, you can have one or the other but not both. The 54.6cc longer stroke quad port version cuts way faster than the 49cc short stroke version. This would be a nicer saw to run then my supmix 6200 due to way better anivibe and plastics but also way slower cutting.
@@IndianaDoug 50/50 chance you can stick the 34mm stroke crank in it then put the 45.2mm top end on it. 45.2mm cylinder is taller than the 45mm one to match the longer stroke. I dont know if they changed the crank to go with the new cases, they swap in the old design. Cheapest way to get the 54.6cc parts is to buy a whole saw like the pinkway 63cc in the states or the supmix in canada.
We shall see, I’m definitely going to machine the cylinder. I think we can work it out. It’s a cool looking saw, I’d like to have a little bit of performance to match. I did grind on the stock cylinder a bit to see what I can get out of it. I’ll run that until I figure out everything else. This is what’s fun about clones. Cheap to learn on.
I put real NGK plugs in every saw I sell if it doesn't have one already. I get them from RockAuto. This saw did have a China plug in it out of the box.
Nothing like a 545/550 mk.I not even close just made to look like the Husqvarna version sorta and no it's not a Redmax GZ5000 clone, those saw's are the true 545 2252 rebranded. Just more slight of hand marketing hoopla to fool people into buying something with the hopes of it being like an original but it's not, so don't be fooled. By the look's of it not much of anything will interchange I have worked on the real Husqvarna 550XP's everything looks totally different, it's more of a 450 rancher grade of saw and not even close to that; very Zenoah clone is what it is. Sorry didn't mean to burst everyone's bubble but that's the truth of it, can guy's build these into a fun project saw sure if you want to tinker why not but don't expect these to be a ripper like the real deal.

I might pick one of those up at some point, I was looking at the 545's for a little bit but I'm too cheap for those. nice work Doug.
That lung dinglberry hanging in the intake is for ring support only
He said dingleberry 😂😂😂

Pretty cool! Will be interesting to start finding out what's interchangeable!
Wow 😎 this might have to happen. I’m thinking carb swap to get rid of the horrible auto tune on my 545
Heck yea. Great video bro as always. Hope she's a ripper right outta the box

@82f100swb there’s 3 versions on my box. Typical Zenoah clone stuff 🤦🏻♂️
👍👍 KNK ? Kinky? 😊
On a more serious note, good looking clone. Enjoy the rest of your Thanksgiving weekend.
Thx buddy, you too👍🏻
Can’t find out where to get one. “Let’s find out together” haha. I’ve got a 545 so it will be interesting.
I think the choke gave it away that it wasn't a true 545mk1 clone on the inside
For sure. I think they change things up just enough to work around patents. But I’m not expert.
Wow 😎 this might have to happen
That looks more like a Zenoah (ie. the blue maxx) than a husky from what I'm seeing, but I'm not an expert
The motor is certainly cloned after Zenoah. I’d say the G5000
Cool chassis but shitty top end. I would change that . Wonder what cylinder would fit on that? Thanks for sharing
Agreed. I’m going to try a Redmax G5200 and better carb. I’ll need a little machine work but should bolt up. Bore will be bigger as well.
@@IndianaDoug Ill watch if you post the build. Cheers
It's Emas 509R customuzed for KNK.
Looks to be. Have you seen their 61 clone? Looks identical to oem😆
That’s nothing like a 545..gz5000 or 550 under the hood
Did someone say it was?
@IndianaDoug I believe you asked for "thoughts" my friend..perhaps I'm wrong 🤔
I did indeed. You’re not wrong about anything.
I want a sticker lol

This the one that uses the zenoah and husq style bottom end?
Well I’m going with a Redmax G5200 top end for this, so I hope so. I’m taking a gamble.
Nvm thats a diff one im thinkin of but i talked to a seller of these
Nothing on the inside is like a Husqvarna in the slightest! 😂
Weird, really weird.

base gasket installed wrong? looks like some of it was covering the lowers?
Good point. Idk but I’m deleting it.

Yep, they’re everywhere
