Back when two races in the same season at different tracks had exactly the same name. This was the second Miller Genuine Draft 400, the first was at Michigan in June. The difference is that this one is 400 laps, Michigan's race is 400 miles. Funny, when you look at Richmond, the D shaped track is basically a mini version of Michigan.
Great upload. I haven't watched this race since 1992. Rusty Wallace car was so good. That he was a lap down and then made that up on green without any help of a yellow flag. The sad part about that was you won't see that in today's Nascar. Great battles in the this race especially in the top ten. The next dat Penske's IndyCar team won at Mid-Ohio with Emerson Fittipaldi. I watched that race as well.
1992 was such a long tough year for Rusty Wallace. But Buddy Parrott came on board during the season and this race was a preview of what was to come in 93 and 94 when they won 18 races.
The 1992 Miller Genuine Draft 400 at Richmond was the second NASCAR night race at Richmond Raceway. The 2nd NASCAR Night Race at Richmond was produced by SilverStar Communications, Inc. and aired on the GMA Rainbow Satellite Television Network on September 13, 1992 at 4:00 P.M. right after Lovingly Yours with Princess Punzalan
14:36 race start 58:20 first caution 1:08:00 second green flag 1:51:51 second caution 1:58:40 third green flag 2:20:40 third caution 2:27:55 fourth green flag 3:06:32 end of the race
thank you for actually posting the commercials!

The Miller Genuine Draft car won it.
1:58 to 2:20 good old fashion clean side by side short track racing. 👍
Someone doesn’t know how to timestamp smh

Thank you for adding this, this was my favorite season of Nascar! Have anymore for the future?
+aebking #1 I have the spring Atlanta race where Elliott wins. Not sure if the quality is upload worthy.
+Jordan St.Amant. That would be awesome I've looked for the full 90,91,and 92 Motorcraft 500 races for a couple of years now!
Mark Martin had a lot of 2nd place finishes in 1992.
Martin has the all time worst 1st to 2nd place ratio.
Midnight's first race
Jimmy Means gets some air time! 1:43:46

This is amazing! Do you have any other races from the '92 or '91 season? Would love to see them.
+coldplayer112233 I have the Spring '92 Atlanta race. I'll see if it's good enough quality once I get a new VCR.
Do you happen to have the 1995 Miller Genuine Draft 400 at Richmond? I'd love to see that. Thanks very much!
What the f*** was Davey Allison thinking at 2:32:07?
I’ve watched the full season, he’s had a few moments like that. Uber aggressive, more motor in car than brain in head
Jimmy Means was a former “Alabama State Champion”? Reminds me of an old NWA wrasslin jobber Mike Jackson. He always lost too...
This guy is probably the worst announcer nascar ever had ….. Benny was good tho
