Also Pavlova as usual. She should've been in 2nd alone. Zamo 3rd. Rosu obviously 1st on Vault.

Khorkina did NOT deserve the Gold here. Sorry not sorry. Tweddle was #1 for me, and Khorkina 2 Yarotska 3. Smh at this code of points. Idk how Krasnynska even made the podium on bars compared to Yarotska. Yarotska should've been placed ahead of Kras for surem, and Tweddle ahead of Khorkina I feel. She had not one short handstand or form break. And stuck her dismount cold.

Terrible commentary, he knows nothing about gymnastics, totally ignorant. We have had great bars champions, Nadia, Silivas, Milosovici, Amanar and many medalists.

Amanar sucks on bars and so does Milo in general, who got a fluke gold.
Nadia and Silivas is fine but that's two gymnasts lol. Romanians historically do suck on bars.

...^^^ she is right. Romanians are not known for their UB. It really is their weakest event and they do the most basic routines just to get through it. Thats just a fact, dear. I love Romanian gymnasts and even I would have to agree.

@Star Tetrahedron Because it was the strategy adopted by Octivian Belu back then (since the 90s), that 3 out of 4 events in WAG are leg events (i.e. tumbling events). And by focusing on tumbling training, they could keep dominating the field with 3 extraordinary events + average but consistent bar works. And this strategy did work, and they kept medaling here and there on TF, EF, and AA, but the Romanian bar works died. Though it is a little bit sad that uneven bars was once the favourite event of Nadia and Silivas.

@@kp395 I don't think it was a strategy of Belu, it was more a solution to their deficit of bar coaches in the small clubs that fed the national training center in Deva. By the time the gymnasts were selected there they already had strong deficits in their basic bars technique which are very hard to correct later on. Their last important bars coach emigrated to the UK and his great work has paid off, the British girls are great in UB now. So no secrets, good coaching + good resources = good bars. That is it.

@@soledadferrer1325 Obviously, that wasn't a coach strategy. Even Romanians didn't win a single gold world or Olympic AA medal with this "strategy". They got nice results on the VT, FX and BB but even focusing on three apparatus wasn't enough because China and USA got better results on those apparatus. Only in Athens this worked...
