How come you can hear and see Max parry couple of times but the game doesnt register the points and doesnt show it as a tech? Im kinda new to 3S, but it was just something i kept wondering about through the video.
I'm rewatching this 10 year later but even though Max knows the game, I'm still surprised that he didn't picked up on PA's patterns and didn't parry much if not at all
JR just playing "safe" and uses almost every gimmick that has Gouki to offer in his favor. It's pretty impressive to "study". I still learn Akuma's setup since a year... and love these setups. But there is a lot of hard to learn technology in it
Has anyone ever noticed. while not the typical setup. JR's Akuma just runs a flow chart setup? I dont have it worked out yet. but if you really pay attention to how he plays you kinda start to see subtle patterns.
He plays really well and it fits his super rushdown style cause most people dont have the awareness to watch his paterns in the middle of a game so it works perfect for him.
@aphelionmusic It's not a kara demon. it's just cancelling the second shoryu into the demon which you can do off any of his specials anyways. Kara demon's are more cancelling your attack to force the opponent to block so the demon connects for that reason. In this case it was just a standard super cancel and Ken was stunned so he couldn't do anything anyways. Lock down.
Yeah it's like you're seeing who can come the closest before being crushed before Akuma's (or the rest of the cast's depending on who he's playing as) fists.
holy shit, i just realized that Akuma's win pose in SF4 originates from THIS GAME, except it's waaaay more badass in this game because it's a Super! OMG that move is KILLER!!

I'm still a scrub at 3rd Strike, but dealing with Akuma spamming tatsus and then stand hp into demon flip are annoying. I feel for Maximillian, this had to be frustrating.
Of course these overkill on patterns can easy be boring to watch. He is not the fancy resets kind of guy. But it fits his playstyle: go for full stun or grinds through the defence. I suppose
