Hi! I'm currently watching through the whole Commander Vs Series from season 1 (Currently on Season 3 Episode 8!) And I had an interesting idea that I'm not sure if you guys have done yet. What about Com-land-er? Where you guys pick Legendary Lands and use them as Commanders! I have literally no idea what this would look like, but I figured I'd throw the idea out there and see if you guys wanted to give it a shot ^^
@@keithfilibeck2390 Nah, he was just playing with his food he could have also killed them by damage had he: 1st killed Stephen, 2. played Falkenrath Noble, 3. Played Toxic Deluge. He just wanted to win with Reavel to Riches. If anything it was more about the draw - Justin was really slow this game and focused on Stephen a lot and Jeremy missed so many land drops.
I know in edh you can replace the the effect that would kill your commander with exile to command zone. But wouldn't the gods effect to put it 3rd from the top still trigger if you choose to exile to command cause they say when they die or are exiled.
The command zone is not the exile zone so it wouldn't trigger. Also putting into the library would be considered a tuck effect and he can choose to put his commander in the command zone as a replacement effect for that trigger too
question about tamiyo- her emblem the way it is read makes it sound like the item still hits the grave so can you respond or even rest in peace to negate the effect?
Correct, her emblem makes a triggered ability (which can be responded to) that triggers whenever an object goes into your graveyard. If there's something preventing cards from going into the graveyard it won't trigger, and you can exile the cards in response before the trigger resolves
I really hate when everyone gives the game to Jon for no reason.... He was clearly the stronger player at the table, and no one try to kill him off, specially Jeremy.
They didnt want to lose a point in the season standing for killing the guy in last. Im not the biggest fan of that in the points, but im also not in a league
My grandmother got me a onesie where i can unbutton my butt so i can watch Commander Vs while on the toilet without freezing to death. Thats sort of an unrelated tangent the real reason i am commenting is to tell Justin to play Yarok he is so much fun
Not that I think it mattered, but Tamiyo's emblem can't get back Nexus of Fate. Or Temporal Mastery, or Karn's Temporal Sundering, or any other spell that doesn't actually touch the graveyard as it resolves.
Commander vs. made from the best stuff on earth. Edit: Steven had way too much sand in his vag this game, although perhaps it's a good representation of how real life magic goes sometimes.
This felt like a bullying session against Stephen and a pity game for Jon who was in last as he was the only one doing anything for most of the game and no one even wanted to save Stephen. Did I miss Stephen punishing the whole table where he deserves to get the worst decks and treated so badly in multiple episodes?
The way to beat a combo deck is to kill it before they can go off. Many combo decks dominate in more casual metas because the players are unwilling to focus one person down due to "feel bads." Stephen also played no blockers other than his commander, so he was an easy target. In general Mono Blue decks will get focused down, because they are usually up to stupidly unfun shenanigans.
Point taken. But people always talk smack before a game lol. Especially a casual game or at least in my casual group. Ah well, it just felt like a Jon Suarez dominated thing. It happens occasionally in all games true
So with priest of forgotten gods, you dont even have to sacrifice the creatures in order to draw and get the 2 black mana. You can just tap to draw and grab the mana
Actually, you always have to sac the creatures because it's part of the activation cost, not the effect. You are allowed to choose 0 target players or target players who don't have any creatures to sacrifice, but YOU have to sacrifice two creatures to activate the ability no matter what.
@@jonahwarner4498 I looked up the ruling on the website, and it says you can target a player who cant sacrifice anything for the life loss. But it also says that you can tap her for the black mana and the draw without sacrificing any of your creatures.

@@peewee130946 You really need to be more familiar with the rules of the game before you start correcting people on the internet.
